Re: Trimble Outscoring 174-0.... 9/27 Trimble v (3-1) Worthington Christian
How many deep playoff runs does a team have to make before people knock off the "weak schedule won't prepare you" garbage? 3 regional titles in 6 years kind of destroys that theory, doesn't it? D6 will undoubtedly be a tougher test, but the regular season schedule will have very little to do with the outcome.

Game is in Gtown. Scoreless streak continues and the Tomcats win by about as much as they want.

Weak Schedule actually helps come playoff time because players less likely to get hurt.

Agreeeeeeed!! Him and that Lackey boy will straight up try to hurt you when they hit you. I love watching kickoffs and the Tomcats defense. With that being said, I never want to see any kids hurt, but my ohh my them boys will straight up hit you. The Downs boy has had a few big hits also. Always exciting to watch the Tomcats take the the field.Raider6309 wrote: Sat Sep 21, 2019 12:53 pmThat Joyce kid is a man child. I'm not saying that WC will not be a pretty good team, as they do have a 3-1 record. I'm just wondering how good some of the teams that they have beaten might have been. The teams that they have played have a combined 5-10 record. I'm just wondering if that 3-1 record might be a little deceiving. No doubt about Trimble winning, Lets hope both teams have an injury free game.

Yea it's pretty good that they are shutting teams out. But they are leaving their starters in to do it from what I have seen. The 2013 team set all the records but they did it without playing the starters the whole game. That's the difference IMO.

I think the shutout streak will continue, and I hope it does. Northmor witch has a (4-0) record beat WC. The 3 teams that WC beat have a combined record of ( 1-10 ). If the truth be know, if any other team around had started the season with 4 shutouts, you can bet your bottom dollar that they would be trying for that 5th shutout in a row. Take it one game at a time, and if you can get that 5th, then you can start thinking about the next game.VetteMan wrote: Sun Sep 22, 2019 9:06 pm I'm not saying that WC will not be a pretty good team, as they do have a 3-1 record. I wish NY would have been 100% healthy in the first game. Just sayin.VetteMan wrote: Mon Sep 23, 2019 2:28 pmI think the shutout streak will continue, and I hope it does. The teams WC has beaten are a combined 2-14 not 1-10 and as far as NY being healthy would not have mattered but I think everyone was on the field week 1 may have been banged up a little but that’s football just saying.

We can agree to disagree. Hopefully we'll find out who's right in week 11 or 12.ttomcat 80 wrote: Mon Sep 23, 2019 2:45 pm The teams WC has beaten are a combined 2-14 not 1-10 and as far as NY being healthy would not have mattered but I think everyone was on the field week 1 may have been banged up a little but that’s football just saying.

You're right, I was wrong. As far as a potential rematch week 11 goes, I think it’s safe to say 1 team dreams of that while the other has nightmares. And we all know who would have nightmares if those two matched up again week 11. Would be same result- if not worse.

Trimble is unlike any team WC has ever seen before. Northmor is good but in my estimation NM wouldn’t play within 21 points of Trimble. We won’t know anything about where WC really stands as a team until their game the following Saturday vs FC. What I can tell you about WC is they play two-dimensionally but their offense’s success relies on the battery of the QB (pretty good QB) and their very good wide receiver. A team such as Trimble with the speed, strength and scheming up front though will give WC fits... as WC will get very flustered going up against the physical and relentless Tomcat defense.

I don’t get the whole everyone being healthy thing week 1 that everyone is talking about. Ny was healthy and got dominated in every aspect of the game. To your point though I agree, that 50/50 would be awesome lolttomcat 80 wrote: Mon Sep 23, 2019 3:00 pm I hope they beat Athens and have a rematch be a good gate and 50-50
