You're exactly right, NY was 100% healthy. I guess some things never change though, NY Head Coach always makes excuses when he gets beat. I remember the article in the messenger after the Berne Union game. He said you see what we can do when we are healthy. I guess the only thing I seen was NY playing a very weak opponent. On that week 11 rematch I am guessing the result would be much the same as the first meeting.NY BUCK wrote: Mon Sep 23, 2019 11:43 pmI don’t get the whole everyone being healthy thing week 1 that everyone is talking about. To your point though I agree, that 50/50 would be awesome lolttomcat 80 wrote: Mon Sep 23, 2019 3:00 pm I hope they beat Athens and have a rematch be a good gate and 50-50

Re: WK5 Trimble Outscoring 174-0.... 9/27 Trimble v (3-1) Worthington Christian
Looking over the region very closely, there is still a possibility of a (10-0) Trimble being on the road week 11.
Springfield has a pretty good path to (10-0) and could be the No. 1 seed.
Fort Frye could also be (10-0)
Salineville has a weak schedule and could end up (10-0)
Mogadore is the team to watch at (3-1). They have games vs (4-0) Rootstown, (4-0) Garfield, (4-0) Crestwood and a win over Shadyside already. They could vault into the top 4 with a (9-1) record based on the points they will have accumulated.
Of course it is only week 5 and lots of games to be played, but the possibility of (5) Trimble at (4) Salineville or (5) Salineville and (4) Trimble is on the table.

All they have to do is win out. Eastern is going to win out and the rest of the Hocking will just beat up each other by giving Trimble the secondary points. Theres a chance NY could win out till week 10 giving them more points also. Right now the L2 divisor is 98 very good chance that could change to 97 if Fed Hock doesnt finish the season. They finished there game last friday with 14 kids. When all said and done Trimble will finish 3rd by a miracle of NY beating Athens in week 10 they will be 2nd

I'm no mathematician by any stretch of the imagination.
Just seemed to me the L1 points out there for some of the top 5 teams could ultimately drop Trimble to the No. 5 spot.

Jump straight to page 3 of this thread.
Trimble gets the easy win. They may get scored on this game or another game but who cares? I don't. its about going 10-0.
This years team is about getting some quality snaps on Friday night for the younger players and in this day and age that is very hard with the mandatory running clock. Let the coaches decide at halftime to agree to a running clock.
Tomcats on course for a 10-0 season and I tip my cap to them. I hope they do well week 11 and later.
Good luck and good health to both teams.

If Fed were to not play Trimble the L2 divisor would go to 88.ShooterMcgavin wrote: Tue Sep 24, 2019 11:15 am All they have to do is win out. I happened to catch Week 1 versus Nelsonville and I would have to say that is the poorest looking surface to play a game on I can't imagine after 6 home games and any kind of rain the week before that place will be a Mudfest. Playing on the road week 11 wouldn't be a bad thing only problem would be you lose any money that you would make by hosting.

Actually it literally doesn’t matter if Eastern wins out or loses every single game they have left. Only difference would be them beating Fed and Belpre would give Trimble a tiny bit of a boost since they’re both D6, but really doesn’t matter. What Eastern did to help Trimble was win both non league games.eagle25 wrote: Tue Sep 24, 2019 1:22 pmEastern will be helping you by winning out.Happy McGavin wrote: Tue Sep 24, 2019 1:07 pmIf Fed were to not play Trimble the L2 divisor would go to 88.ShooterMcgavin wrote: Tue Sep 24, 2019 11:15 am All they have to do is win out. Any non conference wins by the Hocking are huge for any teams hoping to make the playoffs.

Trimble has hosted several playoff games, a couple times when it was thought to be too muddy a helicopter was brought in to dry the field. We may be small, we may be poor, but we get sh*t doneCowboy22 wrote: Tue Sep 24, 2019 1:33 pm I happened to catch Week 1 versus Nelsonville and I would have to say that is the poorest looking surface to play a game on I can't imagine after 6 home games and any kind of rain the week before that place will be a Mudfest. What Eastern does from this point on won’t affect the Cats’ playoff position, getting points regardless. What DID help- past tense- was them winning weeks 1 and 2, against teams that Trimble wouldn’t gain points if the Eagles lost. Cats will get points from all 6 of Eastern’s remaining games whether they go 1-5 or 6-0, really doesn’t matter lol.eagle25 wrote: Tue Sep 24, 2019 2:05 pmSo you said it doesn't matter and then admitted that it does.SportsFan101 wrote: Tue Sep 24, 2019 1:59 pmActually it literally doesn’t matter if Eastern wins out or loses every single game they have left. Nelsonville and WC are really the only scores Cats should watch the rest of the season, need them to win as many as they can. As far as the other hocking teams go, hope for Belpre to lose as many as possible to maximize L2 points.

That’s a fact McGavin. “Cowboy” must be from the city and worried about getting a little dirty. Just because some small schools can’t afford turf means they should waive their right to a home game after working their tails off for that 1-4 seed to earn that home playoff game? Don’t think so partner. Tomcats roll 10-0 and play week 11 at THE STY!!Happy McGavin wrote: Tue Sep 24, 2019 2:40 pmTrimble has hosted several playoff games, a couple times when it was thought to be too muddy a helicopter was brought in to dry the field. Clearly you don't understand the playoff point system. For instance, when Eastern beats Belpre it helps Trimble more than if Belpre would beat Eastern. So, I'll see your LOL and raise you an LMAO.SportsFan101 wrote: Tue Sep 24, 2019 7:04 pmWhat Eastern does from this point on won’t affect the Cats’ playoff position, getting points regardless.
