In order to beat good teams, you have to be able to run your base offense and not rely on trick plays (most of the time). However, I think TCU will force Boise State to try trick plays a lot and come away with the W.

The BCS was scared of these teams. If either team played a powerhouse and won, they could keep clamoring for a share of the title and keep exposing the BCS for what a joke it is.

Thank you for stating truth. If you wanna play in title games, then schedule some big boys.

They are trying but none of the big boys will schedule them. Too much to lose not enough to gain.

How hard are they really trying?? I find it hard to believe that if they attempt to put together a schedule 6 years or so in advance and really lobby alot of programs, they will be turned away empty handed alltogether. Asking a few to play is not really trying, imo. I think they are being selective in both the teams they ask and the years they inquire about from what I have heard. And if in fact they are lobbying all teams, especially the top tier teams and being turned down, then they could easily come together and make a huge claim that the media would happily run with and blow up like no other calling schools dodgers. I think most big programs do not want to be the SINGLE game on the schedule of one of these teams and that causes them to say "no". I think the effort is there to ask teams from power conferences that aren't traditional powers in those conferences. Maybe the BCS schools need to get together and petition non-BCS teams, something like LSU will play a home and home only if you agree to play a home and home with USC and Miami in the same years. Not making it over the top but giving them a dose of what BCS football schedules are all about and not allowing them to build up and play one game a year and then chest thump afterwards.

Enouogh of that, TCU wins because they have a better defense. Boise plays very little defense and haven't been able to get stops against poor offenses so if TCU is for real they will win by 3 scores. Boise can score if they are given the opportunity to run their offense with no disruption to timing. If you play tight coverage with help over the top and stop the run upfront you can easily beat them. Mix that with some pressure on Moore and it could get ugly.

My point exactly, why not put together a schedule in advance like most quality programs. trying to ask a team to fill one remiaing slot for the next year may be hard but schedule out into the future, get denied, then complain. Otherwise there is nothing to complain about. And asking one team or a couple isn't a complete denial. They are good, no doubt, but plan ahead and they will find takers, instead of trying to plan after knowing what bullets are in the gun. I would need a denial list of teams with realistic requests like a home n home in 2015/2016 to be convinced they are really not able to find good opponents. And asking a middle of the pack team from a BCS conference isn't something to complain about anyway. Sounds to me like they are being selective in trying to find teams they know they can beat and pad their schedule, I'm not even sure they would beat Tech.

TCU should win because of their defense. It will be a shootout though but I'm taking TCU 41-31

BOISE HAS BEEN MY 2ND FAVORITE TEAM , FOR OVER 20 YEARS . BUT I THINK TCU, IS JUST TOO POWERFUL. I THOUGHT IT SHOULD HAVE BEEN ALABAMA/TCU. FOR ALL THE MARBLES. TCU, WOULD SMOKE TEXAS.

disappointed in this matchup. BCS made sure that a non-BCS team doesn't beat another BCS team this year. Sad, sad, sad. Wonder who received a FAT bonus for making this matchup happen. I'm not saying that either team would beat Cincy, Florida, G.T., Iowa, OSU, or Oregon, but both teams should get their chance

After the beat down Cincy got , do you still feel that way????

Boise State did what they had to against a very strong defense. The Bronco's defense outplayed the TCU defense.

I picked TCU, and I was wrong. I will say Boise State has a great coach, and someone may come a calling on him.

Boise's coach is happy where he is at. He has been offered to go other places and has now signed a 5 year extention. He has kids and his family likes the area. By moving up it takes a toll on the family while adding stress level to all. He has something good going. He already makes more than enough to live comfortably. Glad he is staying where he is at.

Some people will say he has to do trick plays to win games. But he is using the players and talent level he has to compete against bigger schools. Those schools also have more resources to help build their program. The trick plays are legal plays that take advantage of a given situation. HE also has the guts to call the plays and most of them work. Great job not only to hiim but for all the coaches and players.
