Well i am a Big ND fan Kelley coming to ND would be good for ND I have a son that is at UC over the last 3 years it just keeps getting Crazzy I think every home game was sold out 3 to 4 years ago you could just about just walk in !! I hope he stays at uc !
Re: Brian Kelly-Cincinnati Head Football Coach
If Notre Dame's schedule stays as easy as it was this year, Kelley will do better than ND is used to, but I still say he won't be used to the pressure.
Re: Brian Kelly-Cincinnati Head Football Coach
UC has their team banquet thursday afternoon. ND's AD said they would name their new coach no later than friday.
Do the math.
I don't think, being 3 years removed from Central Michigan, that he is ready for the white hot spot light that is ND football.

I think he should stay there at Cincy and keep building that program like he is into a power house

He is a Pro-Choice guy, who has worked on presidential campaigns for Pro-Choice candidates.
Now, this doesn't matter at almost any other institution, but Notre Dame IS the premier Catholic University in the World,
and Notre Dame football IS the first representative to the world for the university.
Notre Dame is also the place that protested the President when he appeared, because of his stance on abortion.
I don't think it should matter, but to more than a few devout boosters, you better bet it will.

There is white smoke coming from the Golden Dome, the search is over
Re: Brian Kelly-Cincinnati Head Football Coach
Edsel at UCONN has a lot going for him there. He has great facilities. They have updated or built new. His practice facility is among the best. He would have a lot less pressure at UCONN. He has the backing from everyone there and after this year that has meant a lot.
Who ever goes to ND will have to deal with a lot more stress. They have alumini who expect to win now and every year. They also expect to be in a BCS Bowl and National Championship picture often and win those games. If the coach has a young family does he want to put his kids through the taunting from others if they are not winning. That is one thing that Weiss did not like. So coaching at some smaller schools can be better family wise.

Just watched Brian Kelly being introduced as the new coach at Notre Dame. Man if I didn't know better, it looked like Knute Rockne reincarnated.

Re: Brian Kelly-Cincinnati Head Football Coach
There's a pattern of behavior here with this guy. He did the same thing when he left CMU, left the team to go to UC before CMU's bowl game.
He's a good coach, but shows absolutely no loyalty, pursuing another job when the one he is holding isn't finished. I don't begrudge him a better opportunity, but obviously he felt no obligation to his current employer.
Yea, I know, it is certainly arguable that if he was going to move, he needed to do it now, but you generally don't see coaches dismissed until the end of the season. I guess it is a little disconcerting to me, as he seems to have a mercenary mentality.
Odds are, if he has success early at ND, he'll bolt for greener pastures again.......
