Don't want to plagiarize....from a guy named Robert Katz.....get it....Bob Katz....to the tune of the 12 daze of Christmas:
On the day after Christmas Frank Solich gave to me:
Patrick Tafua intercepting
Lavon Brazil returning
Erne Hodge sacking
Matt Weller kicking
Taylor Price catching
Lee Renfro blitzing
Chris Garret running
O H I O ‘s First Bowl WIN!
Noah Keller hitting
Theo Scott throwing
The110 a Rocking
And a smack down of the Thundering Turd!

If they come out inspired and have a interim coach they will listen too Marshall wins easy just on better talent alone. Marshall by 2 TDs. I watched that MAC CHAMPIONSHIP and was not impressed with their skill positions.
Personally, I think that OU's defense will shut Marshall down. They held Central Michigan to 20 points, and considering that Dan LeFevor is their quarterback, I think that's pretty good. The big thing is how well can Marshall shut Ohio's offense and their special teams down? We've had games where our offense could not be stopped (Temple) and times where it looked terrible (Kent State, Central Michigan).I also think that Marshall's 2-4 record on the road doesn't bode well for the Herd.
I see Ohio Winning by an odd amount like 11 or something like that.

Have the Bobcats healed up from the Temple game?
If Ohio's offense steps up like they did vs. Temple and the defense makes Marshall have to throw the ball they should win pretty handily.

Looked like a pretty sparse crowd. OU appealled to fans to show up and support the team. Maybe if OU recruited from SE Ohio, they would have more fan support. Just a thought. I know a few athletes from Logan that were they recruited, might make a big difference in support for them.

OU does recruit a few players for SE Ohio, doesn't make a dent in attendance figures. If the students and parents show up for big games attendance is good, but most "fans" will watch the other team from Ohio given the chance. I'm an alum and have a daughter there and have seen this for many years. The reason the team is starting to compete more is that they are recruiting from more areas. Nothing against Logan and other schools in the area, but players for SE USA are sooooooo much faster that those from SE OH.
Re: Ohio V Marshall Dec. 26th
OU sould 8000 tickets to the game, there were 5 fan buses that made the trip.
As for the game, well lets say Marshall fans won it for them there were several plays where one or maybe a few Marshall fans had WHISTLES they would blow them OU players stopped playing and Marshall players kept playing. after about the 5th time the Refs warned the Marshall crowd.
It was a great game to be at though

Re: Ohio V Marshall Dec. 26th
It didn't seem that watching the game that the whistle blowing caused OU problems. The refs mentioned it a few times during the game. Just because it came from the Marshall side does not mean it was a Marshall fan anyway. It could have been someone who was just there to watch the game or had a free ticket.
Marshall pretty much dominated the first half of the game and OU got a break to be able to have the fumble return before half. Marshall ran the ball well the first half then not much the second half. Marshall won another game with the QB not throwing for over 100 yards. They even dropped an interception that could have been returned for a TD.
It did not make much sense that OU took out their big defensive lineman when it got close to the goal line. OU did not tackle the best and did not make plays to win the game.

And that my friends is the difference between C-USA and the MAC.
Marshall could and would dominate the MAC,
but they wouldn't get any better as a program.
If they get right, and get recruits, then they can and should start to compete for
C-USA titles.
Maybe not win them, but at least compete to play for them.

HAHA I wish i had a nickel for everytime someomne said that after they lost cause I would be a rich man.
But Ford Field was a great stadium to take in a ball game. The place was beautiful.
Marshall was the better team OU could not do anything against the Marshall defense,Bad field position gave them a TD,FG.
oh and one other OU marching band was AMAZING.I enjoyed every second they were on the field.
GO HERD!!!! EXCITED FOR NEXT SEASON
