Ohio Bobcats football 2010
I know it's early, but what does everybody think about OU in 2010?
My expectations- 7-5 give or take.

Re: Ohio Bobcats football 2010
The offensive line should be improved since it was heavy with freshman and sophomores last year.
The d-line brings back 3 sometime starters who played little or not at all last year because of injury and/or suspension (Myers/Oxley/Jones).
All-American Noah Keller returns at MLB.
Kicker Matt Weller was on the Freshman All-American team.
Record setting QB Boo Jackson returns.
We lacked a big back last year and now 240 pound Boston College transfer Jerry Kelly is eligible.
Freshman safety Gerald Moore (All-American freshman team) and starter Steven Jackson (missed the last 6 games) returns.
I'd say about like last year....but with a bowl win this time.

I can't wait for the OU vs OSU rematch. If you remember, OU had the Bucks on the ropes with the lead late in the 3rd quarter in 2008 and forced an OSU punt. Then the Cats fumbled the punt and the wheels didn't just fall off.......the whole bus crashed.
Can't wait for that game again. 2010 will be my first year with Bobcat season tickets.

For the people that live in Athens county. Would an up set for ohio vs ohio state be a good thing or bad.

The Marshall rematch is another one I am looking forward too!
Bronco, I don't live in Athens County, but as an OU alum, I would probably streak if they upset the Buckeyes.

Re: Ohio Bobcats football 2010
I'm a lifelong Buckeye fan, grew up watching Buckeye football, and will always be a Buckeye fan. However, I'm also an OU student and next season I'll be wearing green to the Shoe.
If OSU beats us (likely), well I can live with that because they're going to the BCS next year. However, if Ohio U wins... good lord.
If there's something that needs improvement, it is the running game. We were 39% on scoring touchdowns in the red zone last season, and that's because we lacked a good running game. With an improved offensive line and a big back (which I didn't know about), that number will go up.

Our line will be much much better next year. Boo Jackson will be our QB and the Cats will score some points. SP teams will be solid and the D should be tops in the MAC. Ohio will win the Mac Title next year so don't worry.

The gut check won't come from the 105,000 screaming scarlet clad buckeye fans, but from 3 of my good friends who're students.
My brother (who's a member on the equipment staff for OU football) suggested that I wear a neutral color like white or black. But I never have really been known for taking his advice .

Has anyone heard how recruiting is doing? I read scout.com and they said our best is a 2 star recruit.

OSU/OU? The horseshoe; OSU would never travel to go another school's stadium. They did go to Cleveland, but that was like another home game.

I didnt think they would ever come down here, not enough seating or parking unless you park in the Plains. But I was just asking because i heard someone say something about it.
