I agree. We would have still lost to Trimble and Fort but we didn’t even use him in the passing game last night hardly at all. Threw him a pass on first drive and he takes it 68 yards for a TD. Pass it to him once more and he drops it and then that was it. At Meigs he touched the ball 6 times.. just don’t really get it. Drove down the field multiple times, go wildcat and start running these crazy reverses then we are stuck in 3rd and long and throw up a prayer. Who knows

Should be a really good game here, Piketon probably closest team on Wellstons schedule that offers up the passing game they'll see against Athens. If Wellston can pound the rock and keep Athens off the field that will go a long ways. Not sure how quick Wellston is in the secondary but if they can maintain the Athens WRs and put pressure on the QB I'll take Wellston by 7 points.

Yep, the "Best Passer" in the league comment was mine and I'll stick to that and in no way ,shape or form am I an Athens fan. They've lost 4 games to non TVC teams who are 21-6 combined but have scored 93 points in those losses. Wellston's wins have come against teams that are 13-29 combined.

Wellstons secondary is very quick. And IMO could be the best secondary Athens faces all season. And Wellston with that dominate front seven will definitely bring the pressure on Athens QB. But with all that being said Athens to me regardless of record is still the second best team on Wellstons schedule behind only Jackson. Wellston will have to bring their A game for sure. And being at home will help but not because of the field conditions or the officials like some will claim.

Yep and given that Athens is DIII it could also determine whether Wellston has any shot at hosting a playoff game or not. With seeds 2-5 having at least 1 tough opponent left and could take a loss this is a huge game for many different reasons for the Rockets. Good Luck
