Belpre is better coached and better or defense and more physical. I think Belpre wins close.
Is that right???
Ok, I guess you got us there. More physical? Better defense? Better coached?
Now that’s funny!!
Belpre no match for Warren. Sorry. Warren wins by 20+.
Oh yeah by the way I could care less how big belpre is. Size of you players alone have never won a ballgame. If they can’t execute all they do is take up extra space.
Warren will beat them down, throw down their throat, and play good defense.
Will be another good game though.
Go Blue!!!
No one, and I mean no one, is better coached than Warren. Don’t believe me? Just ask them.

Is the Warren QB related to Shawn Taylor? Haven't seen Warren for a couple years since they SEOAL ended. Look forward to seeing them next year.
For Belpre to win this game they must play much better than they did vs SG. Belpre played with very little heart or passion. Terrible tackling and careless with the ball at times.
The closest thing to a signature win for either team is Belpre's win over then 4-0 Southern, now 5-2. With Warren's trio of Taylor, Gandee and Simonettee (sp) they should have beat the teams they beat. Any of these 3 players can play small college ball if they so choose.
When you throw the ball nearly 40 times a game like Warren does, you should break some big plays like they have done. However, Warren hasn't really played much defense all year. Overall, better athletes, especially at this level, are a huge advantage and Warren has the better athletes.
Belpre dressed 23 last Friday. From what I read, Warren around 28-29. Belpre has gotten in a JV game or two with their numbers, Warren should be doing the same. It isn't about wins or loses at the JV level, it is about getting experience for next year's players. I remember when Devol was at Warren and 100+ players ran down the hill on Friday nights. Those days are long gone in SE Ohio but Kimes needs to get the numbers up if he wants to make the jump back to Wood County like other coaches have done that have gone to Warren to get experience but go back across the river.
I am glad this series is resuming and you can thank Devol for that. The series should have never ended, you take the good with the bad. Each team has had it's turn at dominating the series from time to time but there was no reason to end it. Belpre leads the series 25-24-1 from my records. Warren won the last game played in 2010 42-12. Warren was D-2 at that time. Belpre was D-5. There was only 6 divisions then.
Belpre is the better coached team but the coaches don't ultimately win the game, players do. Look for Belpre to do what it has done all year, run the ball, pass when they have to and try to contain Warren's trio and NO arm tackling from the Orange and Black.
Warren needs to control the line of scrimmage and get the ball out into space vs one on one matchups. They also have the special teams advantage.
Cal preps has this game called correctly Warren 35-28. They don't usually miss. Warren is the favorite.
Good luck and good health to both teams and...
LETS GO EAGLES!!!

Warren has thrown the ball 40 times or more in just two games. They are the opposite of everyone else around this area. Just like how belpre runs the ball 40 times a game. Warren tries to be even. It’s just sometimes you gotta give the ball to your best players

28-21 Belpre. Game gets shortened and possessions to Warren less if Belpre runs the ball effectively and scores.
What if Warren stops the run game? They’ve shown at times they can do it, they just haven’t been consistent at all. If Belpre is forced to throw, it’ll get bad.

It is his son
Sounds like he is following in Dad’s footsteps. His dad was fantastic.

In the words of Maury that was a lie
They’ve actually been one of the worst rush defenses in the area numbers don’t lie.

8.2 yards per carry
26.8 points allowed per game
Can’t argue those but you’re forgetting Meigs who ran for virtually nothing, Barnesville had -3 yds rushing, and UL didn’t do anything. Granted those teams aren’t good, but Belpre doesn’t have a Chase Taylor, Ty Moore or an offensive line like those teams. I may be wrong, but people might be surprised Friday at how our run defense looks.

You guys are really underrating some of the Belpre skill guys Logan Adams had 181 yards the first game of the year vs Fort Frye.

His dad is a Warren coach. They have another one coming up in a few years who will also be fun to watch.

They do give up a lot of big plays. Just quickly looking at the theee losses, 8 TD runs of 28+ yards (6 of those over 50 yards).
Against Williamstown, they gave up some yards early, but stopped two possessions inside the 5 to force FGs. Then in the 4th quarter, gave up three big TD runs. Then they came back and forced a three and out with under two minutes to get the ball back and a chance to win.
The inconsistency can really be costly. To go back to your earlier statement, it isn’t that they aren’t physical per se (know a couple Williamstown kids - they are black and blue still today and were surprised at the toughness), they just don’t execute at times and good teams exploit that. Belpre could exploit that, of course. But there have been some flashes for Warren’s D and a Warren fan just has to hope they focus for four quarters.

Only stats I could find do you have how they did vs the run in the other 5 games?
Heard today that Warren is not taking this game lightly. Belpre in the pigskin preview were saying they would go 8-2 with losses to Trimble and fort. Warren kids took offense to this
