Heard today that Warren is not taking this game lightly. Belpre in the pigskin preview were saying they would go 8-2 with losses to Trimble and fort. Warren kids took offense to this

Why would they take much offense to this? Coach Devol feels like his team has progressed since last year (6-4) enough to go 8-2. Our 4 losses were to FF, Trimble, Valley who isn't on the schedule and Waterford. Anyone who follows Belpre football AND goes to the games knew that the FF and Trimble games were losses going into the season. But, everyone felt that the next 8 games were winnable IF we play like we are capable of playing. Warren was never viewed as a walkover. Belpre expects a close tough game, otherwise, the series would have not been renewed.

In the same article Devol also said they have the best secondary in the area. Belpre doesn’t need or want our receivers to have bulletin board material. That theory will be put to a serious test Friday.

“The best secondary in the mov” has not seen a team that can throw the ball like warren. Granted most teams at this level win the game by running the ball so completely different football game Friday for belpre.

Warren has played Marietta, Cambridge, Barnsville, and williamstown last week. Have they played in a fast paced games since week 2?? Im going to say warren wins by 3 touchdowns

Trimble is way beyond decent. If you're calling the teams warren has played recently decent, cambridge fits but the rest are below average.

I did not say Trimble was decent, I clearly said the teams after Fort Frye and Trimble are not decent. If you are calling Williamstown below average you aren't from around here.

Williamstown lost to wheeling central by 3tds. We beat central by 42, so yes i don't think they're much to worry about or that good for what it's worth. And yes I'm from around here

This game was never close. Warren dominated from play number one. All this y’all of belpres line and skill not being bad and the skill gap difference really showed tonight.

Not a surprising final. Came in and did what we were supposed to do. Belpre struggled to move the ball.

Good game for Warren. Run defense came up good. Warren didn’t give up many rushing yards till second team in in the 4th quarter.
Side note: last time Warren had won at least 5 games in a season was back in 2011. They went 5-5

Most disappointed with Belpre's play calling. I really don't understand why they don't give the ball more to Godfrey. He is a power runner. Even the folks from Fort Frye and Trimble have expressed the same feelings. Not knocking our other running backs but at times you just have to pound the ball to open other avenues up.
