Name them with the school, county and yards if you know it. If it could be done this year put the yards, carries. I needed to put same season.

In the SOC and Portsmouth these are the top rushers this year. Shoemaker looks like he is a lock and should cross 2000 in week 10 with Portsmouth’s Parker could do it in week 11 if he continues his pace. I read where Parker did miss one game this year.

1 Payton Shoemaker Waverly 189 1669 23
2 Talyn Parker Portsmouth 118 1257 22
3 Ty Wiget Minford 151 1183 16

Z was very special that year. One heck of a running back.

Parker didn’t play on offense against River Valley (played like a series on defense), didn’t play in the first quarter last week against Fairland either.

I heard and read Parker hasn’t played a lot compared to last year. Sitting 2nd half and not running against RV. Then last week. Parker if played those times would be leading area and his second straight 2000 plus season. What pace was he on last year at this time?

2000 would have been a decent a good year for our area.
Jo Jo Parker and Jeremy Hamrick for Portsmouth, Parkes for Minford ( can't remember the other back for them that year). White? for Ironton, big fullback who would have been a junior that year. Montovan at Northwest started off great but got moved to qb about halfway through the season. Notre Dame was 10-0 and racked up a ton of offense but I think they used several backs. Seems like Jackson had a few good runners that year also. Lens and Cantrell were at West also but would have been sophomores so probably didn't do much damage, I think they were around. 500.

I meant same season but didn’t put it down! But even thru the years that’s hard to do

Shoemaker has sat alot as well (entire second half of a few games). He would easily be over 2,000 by now.

Ok, so I looked and found a preview for the Van Wert game and going into that Jo Jo had over 2000 yards and Hamrick was just over 1300. I'm pretty sure he was around 2000 his senior year also.

Was there a Montovan at Waverly in 01 or 02. I remember them having a scat back then when we played them. 2001 was a 41-39 shootout and then we met them in the playoffs in 02 and won a 52-28 game, looks bad but in 13 games that was the third highest point total against us.

Yes remember that year when Portsmouth had Parker 2000 plus and hamrick 1400 plus. They had a group a players from late 90’s-2005 that their backups could start on any other team in the area. Look at the backs they had Parker, Hamrick, Bolden that I can remember that is on the same team with speed 4-4, 4-5 and strong.

Cambridge

Stephen Ford did it twice - School Records of 2223 yards in a season, 5351 in a career.
