Senior Brigham Waginger - already WCU's single-season and career steals leader - moved into fifth place on the Southern Conference's career steals chart, tying East Tennessee State's Zakee Wadood (2001-04) with 246 career thefts ... He is just one steal shy of fourth on the chart;

Way to go Brig!
The Southern Conference is a very old and respected league. Check out the list of schools that once played hoops in that conference!

Looks like Brig will have another chance to play in his home state this month:
Cullowhee, N.C. - Western Carolina learned Monday evening that it will travel to Kent State on Saturday, Feb. 20 as a part of the eighth-annual ESPN BracketBuster. The second meeting in the last two seasons between the Catamounts and the Golden Flashes will be broadcast live on ESPNU at 8:00 pm.
Western Carolina and Kent State faced each other in Kent, Ohio on Dec. 6 last season with the Catamounts winning 89-84 in overtime at KSU's M.A.C. Center.
