Well, after I heard about the parking lot shenanigans you hooligans are involved in I got scared and reigned myself in a little. It may not have been an Ironton fan, visitors park in that lot, too. And of all people to get all butt hurt over it, a Rock Hill fan, is hilarious.
I bet there will be some questionable behavior in their parking lot when they play Coal Grove Friday. Bet we don't hear a peep outta him.

Yeah, if that had been in Portsmouth it could just as likely be some random vagrant shuffling around. I love my town but we have some space cadets wandering around town.

Think tigers will take this one Friday. Been impressed with em all year, an then last week... But I gotta ask, who, exactly got contained last year? Lol parker went for 300 and 5 touchdowns in a trojan win. Made me curious how deep that arnton orange insanity gene ran, so I looked up the '17 game... parker for 232 and 3 scores including the game winner with only seconds to spare. Ironton did manage a 7 point victory when he was a freshman, but he still gashed you guys for 200.... kids gonna rack up a thousand yards for his career just against the tigers! That's pretty dang impressive even using the lofty expectations around the tank....

Re: Portsmouth (8-1) -vs- Ironton (8-1) OVC CROWN
98 you talk about a game with everything on the line, check this out.
ironton has scored 334 pts this year through 9 games. they have allowed a total of 49 points through 9 games. they are scoring 37.1 pts. a game while allowing only 5.4 pts. a game. their lone loss a 10-16 ot loss to Ashland, ky. I'm just curious who would know if these are close to any ironton records. especially the pts. allowed. 49 points through 9 games. allowing only 5.4 pts a game. not even a touchdown a game, and look at their schedule. ironton currently sits atop d5 region 19.
Portsmouth is piling up the points as well. the Trojans have scored 277 points through 9 games. while the opposition has scored 195. so the Trojans are scoring 30.7 pts a game, while allowing 19.5 pts a game. their lone loss was to a very tough gahs blue devil team. and they currently sit at 6 in region 19 d5.
so you talk about a game with everything on the line. ironton is in, even if they lose. portsmouth with a loss may be on the outside looking in. and if they make it , it will be by the enamel of their teeth. if Portsmouth wins they may host a 1st game.
if Portsmouth makes it in, the ovc will likely be sending 3 teams to the playoffs in ironton, Portsmouth and gahs. so for a league that the general consensus is that it's weak. I disagree. you send 3 teams to the playoffs out of 7. you are doing something right. and after you get to the dance, everything reboots. everybody is 0-0. so any team can peak at the right time, blow somebody away, get blown away, have luck, or falter and just lay an egg. turnovers, injuries. it's a long run in the playoffs if you continue to win. this should be very exciting down the stretch. both teams have had an amazing season whomever wins and loses. and need to be applauded for turning their programs around. nothing else matters now. just get it on.
