Adena 37 - 66 Southeastern
Adena 37 - 66 Southeastern
Running game of SE vs passing game of Adena. I see a shootout. SE win gets them the Gold Ball, an Adena win creates a 3-way share of the league!
Re: WK10: Southeastern (9-0) @ Adena (8-1)
At Adena....Adena did not do what I expected vs ZT but Adena I bet has been looking forward to this one.
I think Adena can win but Ruby and Co has answered every challenge so far.

Re: WK10: Southeastern (9-0) @ Adena (8-1)
This should be a great matchup! Both teams have played excellent ball! Warriors at home is the advantage BUT Ruby is a STUD! He gets a lot of credit because of the physical stats (deservedly so) but he just seems to have that instinct to make the big play when he needs to and never tries to play outside of his ability! This is def the game to see! Good luck to both teams!
SE - 32
Adena - 28
Its just hard to bet against Ruby's big play ability!

I also was very surprised at the margin of the win by Adena over ZT. I'm sure that they couldn't have not been looking ahead to this weeks game, as there is so much on the line. Should and could be a very good ballgame between 2 outstanding teams.

Re: WK10: Southeastern (9-0) @ Adena (8-1)
I can see Adena’s defensive front and overall physicality giving SE problems. If Sykes can make good reads and not force anything Adena will take this making the SVC title a 3 way tie.
Adena 40
Southeastern 32
Adena 40
Southeastern 32
Re: WK10: Southeastern (9-0) @ Adena (8-1)
I love Adena's physicality in this matchup. They are still the most physical front 7 I have seen all season. However, Ruby is a game changer. It's hard to imagine the type of affect he can have on a game until you see it live. Should be an excellent game.
Re: WK10: Southeastern (9-0) @ Adena (8-1)
I think Adena is the better team, in most all facets of this game. With that being said, you can stop Ruby for no gain on 17 of 20 carries, but he could still have 200yds and 3td's. The kid is a game changer, unlike anything we've seen in this league, probably ever.
I'm interested in how SE defends Adena's passing game. Carson Long is a speed guy, so do you shade Ruby toward him? On the other side is Bennett at 6'4". I don't think SE can cover either one with their corners. One of them will have to have a big game for Adena to win. Long had 2 50+ yard TD receptions last week, and Bennett had several nice catches and a 40yd TD. That will be the most interesting part of the game for me.

Huge matchup. The battle will be won on the line if Southeatern can get to Adena's LB's. They are very fast and strong

Re: WK10: Southeastern (9-0) @ Adena (8-1)
Probably going to be some sloppy field conditions in the Village. I would think that would favor Adena, making it harder for Ruby to make cuts, and causing some ball handling issues for SE with that offense.
Re: WK10: Southeastern (9-0) @ Adena (8-1)
I think the field conditions and cold weather will affect both teams evenly in the end. The defenses will have just as much of an issue with footing as the offenses. Playing in the mud is not new to many of these players.
Re: WK10: Southeastern (9-0) @ Adena (8-1)
Wouldn't that favor SE?? Foot to foot splits and straight ahead running, if Adena is more pass oriented seems like poor field conditions always favor the heavy running team.se-alum wrote: Thu Oct 31, 2019 10:29 am Probably going to be some sloppy field conditions in the Village. I’ve mentioned this before on an Adena thread. Very few Adena posters that actually post on here. It’s pretty typical of their threads being quiet, but this is a big game. I like Adena in this onecountywide35 wrote: Fri Nov 01, 2019 10:41 am suprsied a little that this game as of game day as generated very little "chatter" so to speak...…figured more than 16posts......whoever gets the ball last type game.....should be a good one

yes adena is very capable of winning this one....these two teams are 9-0 and 8-1 playing the last game of the year, playoff type game, and as of 10:45 there is now 18 posts...…...just surprising to me...….going to the bathroom you are liable to miss both teams score

Re: WK10: Southeastern (9-0) @ Adena (8-1)
I don’t know much about Adena but I saw where they beat southeastern on the road last year, maybe southeastern can do the same this year
no competition don't gotta compete, I'm already winning this isn't defeat
Re: WK10: Southeastern (9-0) @ Adena (8-1)
Ruby isn't a straight ahead runner, and with the ball handling SE does it could've been an issue. However, I'm sure the 40mph winds in Frankfort will have it dried out. Also, I wouldn't say Adena is pass oriented. Their big plays come through the air, but they can grind it out on the ground also with Throckmorton, and that big offensive line.greygoose wrote: Fri Nov 01, 2019 2:29 amWouldn't that favor SE??
