Re: Portsmouth (8-1) -vs- Ironton (8-1) OVC CROWN
Congrats Ironton on a hard fought win, and OVC title. This game went about how I figured it would. Ironton controlled the los on both sides of the ball. Portsmouth played hard, but Ironton was far too physical. Portsmouth play calling is/was/has been way too predictable. Nice TD run by Parker, number 25 for Ironton is still looking for his legs lol. I know Carrico is the back in Ironton, but Fossom was a man amongst boys tonight. Trojans should see week 11, on the road, just hope it’s not at Ironton again lol. Anyways congrats Ironton again, time to work hard and travel for another cold game next weekend Trojans!

How many yards did Parker have tonight, and PHS in total Offense?

Yeah we got in line at the start of halftime and they handed the last ones to the people in front of us. Then we waited on coffee and by the time we got back to the field there was 9 minutes left in the 4th. Not that we were missing a nail biter though.

Re: Portsmouth (8-1) -vs- Ironton (8-1) OVC CROWN
impressive dominating win for the fighting tigers. the fighting tigers stared down 2 back to back 8-1 teams in Gallia and Portsmouth. and outscored those 2 teams 100- 7. and averaged 50 points a game. anybody doubting they are for real. well the wheel is spinning , but the hamster ain't there. congratulations to the ironton fighting tigers on being the 2019 ovc football champions outright. and congratulations to the ovc for sending 3 of their 7 teams to the post season. excellent representation by the ovc. and the teams are gahs, Portsmouth and ironton.

looks like it will be wellston @ ironton == Portsmouth @ burg == Minford @ ridgewood == and Columbus academy @ Amanda clearcreek, if indeed these results are final.

Well if everyone we played had a 245# fullback and a 235# halfback we probably wouldn't have.

They’re not final, there’s a game today that could flip Wheelersburg and Ridgewood depending on the outcome.YOU'RE TIGER BAIT wrote: ↑Sat Nov 02, 2019 6:57 am looks like it will be wellston @ ironton == Portsmouth @ burg == Minford @ ridgewood == and Columbus academy @ Amanda clearcreek, if indeed these results are final.

Congrats to Ironton, they are the best local team I have seen since the early 2000s when Ironton and Portsmouth both had many solid teams. The Tigers are huge, fast, and flat out HIT. The physicality from them was what most impressed me, not many teams today can do that.

I tell everyone I talk to on a day to day how physical ironton is, that’s why I give Russell a lot of credit they are one of the few teams I’ve seen hit ironton right back every play throughout the whole game and brought the same level of physical play

Re: Ironton 48 - 7 Portsmouth OVC CHIP
Pretty stupid question. That being said, they play the same weak ovc schools that gave Ironton 7 of those wins, Portsmouth obviously only got 5, hard fought win against a solid Valley team, a win against a down Portsmouth West and then a victory over River Valley, not that tough of a schedule. But don’t sit here and act like they are a bad team because Ironton handled them, Ironton handled Gallia & Burg, but I don’t see you questioning how they won their games?

When you have a player like Parker on your team you can win 8 games pretty easily if you ask me especially in this area
