Burg team is a decent HS team by Burg standards but look like all star team against west tonight. West has a long way to go. Tough season for them. But first play of game opened up the tea leaves....

Burg could’ve took the starters out with two minutes in. West is very young. Had about three players that looked like varsity players. 28-0 after first quarter

This team is very 2007-esque. 7-3, both lost to 3 very good teams. Both beat a good minford team, both beat a good waverly team. Both beat on a down west team. That 07 team (drew spradlin qb?) Went to the 2nd round, beat ridgewood then lost to the freddies i believe. Finished 8-4.

He did. He’s about 60% right now. If he gets healthy in a couple of weeks, ironton and burg would be very interesting should they match up.

Yeah if something happens and ironton isn’t playing burg I think I will go watch the fort Frye vs Trimble game if they happen to play

He did throw 3 TD passes and he may have run one in too. I cant recall who scored the 5th TD.

I thought it was 41-0 at the half. Didn't Sammons hit a FG right before the half after the West turnover?

Wheelersburg kicked one field goal after halftime.

I thought there were positives to take out of the game last night for West. They never quit and won the second half. Several young kids looked good in that environment. They made mistakes like getting lost in coverage, but there are definitely positives to build on. Now have a great offseason in the weightroom and build on it

It was 35-0 when west turned the ball over and burg just put fieldgoal unit on field to kick a 39 yarder to make it 38-0

West was down this year starting a lot of young players and giving all they could against better teams. They give Minford a game for first half as for a few others. West will grow on this season and will get after it during the off season. If you didn’t lose 2 by transferring it could have been different. With West down and Valley losing many players for the season the league was down to 3 teams all 3 in playoffs. Valley would have been if not for injuries. West will bounce back next you and give teams fits.
