11/7 Wheelersburg Volleyball in State Semi Finals

I know this is a football forum but I'd like to recognize the Wheelersburg Lady Pirates Volleyball team. Today they defeated powerhouse Berlin Hiland 3 games to 2 to win their first Regional Final Championship at Logan High School. They finished the regular season undefeated and until today's match, they hadn't lost a single game all season. Berlin Hiland won the first two games then Burg won the 3rd to extend the match. In the 4th and 5th games, the Lady Pirates really got on a roll to seal the victory. They will be playing Thursday, 11/7 at Wright State University's Nutter Center at noon. They will playing Mantua Crestwood or Independence out of Region 9. This will be their first state semifinal appearnace in school history. Congratulations ladies!!!

27-0 Wheelersburg Lady Pirates ranked #3 in the state defeated #2 ranked, 26-1, Berlin Highland Hawks! The Pirates came from down 2 sets to 0, to win the final three and advance to Dayton! Great job ladies! Love it when our small southern Ohio schools show their grit!

Wow it's hard to believe that they were down 2 sets to 0 and in the 3rd set down to their very last point to get swept then they turn it on and win the last 3 just amazing job lady Pirates amazing! GO BURG WAY TO REPRESENT!
