Re: WK12: Ironton v. Amanda-Clearcreek
I haven’t seen the Tigers this year, but I wouldn’t judge everything on the Waverly game. We were ON FIRE that night...it was Shanks best game by a mile and the Aces couldn’t do anything right. It was just one of those games that snowballs and gets out of hand. It was like our game against Unioto, who had no business beating us, but obviously were the best team that night. I will say Tigers 31-17.

The Aces were the Winningest team in the 90’s. I see their schedule was a tough one and are on a tear! This is going to be a tight one with great defenses and it will come down to special teams and turnovers. Good Luck Ironton!!
Re: WK12: Ironton v. Amanda-Clearcreek
They still have 2 Hinton's on the coaching staff. They have plenty of playoff appearances recently.

I just don’t see why it matters if fans overlook other teams on a forum, it has zero effect on the team. I don’t see a problem with thinking if your team plays there game there just better.
no competition don't gotta compete, I'm already winning this isn't defeat

Yes that’s what I put before being ask what brothers. I think 4, one went to coach college, head coach went to coach Chillicothe and one went with him because his grandson played for the Cavs.Tigerball19 wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2019 6:42 amWasn't the whole coaching staff Hintons? Did they all leave?
Re: WK12: Ironton v. Amanda-Clearcreek
I know I went to watch Portsmouth vs Amanda at Amanda on peewee football night. I didn’t think they would ever quit coming out!! Their pee wee program for their size was incredible. They went from the 10 yard line to the other 10. Hintons had that place on fire. Every kid in town played football. That’s why they were the winningest team in the 90’s all divisions. They took a slide down after Ron Hinton and brothers left for other challenges. Ron Hinton reminded me of lutz building a dynasty. Lutz did it for 30 years and Hinton did it from 84-2000. You could put Ed Miller burg in this conversation as he did the same as the 2 coaches above.also Amanda and burg played in house pee wee games, played against each other only. I don’t know how Ironton played their pee wee program. One of u Ironton folks can answer that. If Ironton played in house only then that the recipe for success!CantonOrBust wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2019 9:22 amTigerball19 wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2019 6:42 amWasn't the whole coaching staff Hintons? Coach woodward is creeping up there. If he stays for another 15 to 20 years, hes going to have a bunch of wins under his belt.14U wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2019 11:42 amI know I went to watch Portsmouth vs Amanda at Amanda on peewee football night. Yep! He is building wins every year. This might be his worse year 7-3 and a playoff bidwobycat wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2019 1:33 pmCoach woodward is creeping up there. We went 7-3 in 2011 and missed the playoffs that year. That year was by far the worst team he has had in his time and Wheelersburg. I'll take 7-3 down years all day long.14U wrote: Thu Nov 14, 2019 4:17 pmYep! He is building wins every year. Thanks for the history. Very impressive for sure. From the mid-90s on the hard to talk about football up 159 and not talk about Amanda clearcreek.
If a person don’t think that a state play-off game between two programs one named Ironton and other Amanda Clearcreek isn’t big time storied programs going head to head The person have to been living under a rock for the last 20yrs.
November
State playoffs
Ironton
Amanda Clearcreek
Man that’s high school football at its finest !

as you well know my friend. we should have 2/3 more. the Wauseon game, where the field goal was called good that missed. and was called good. and in 99 against Sandusky perkins. where we made the 1st down and the ref hosed us with his spot.Paulcrew wrote: Fri Nov 15, 2019 6:45 am Amanda should be three time state champs. Could be wrong, be I thought in the Wauseon game they actually missed the field goal, but they called a roughing the kicker that gave them a 15yd penalty and made the un-timed kick.
