Looking at their roster Wheelersburg seems to lose a good chunk of talent to graduation. Their 3 best skill position players Matthews, Ruby, and Horsley all graduate. Next year will be an interesting year for Wheelersburg.
Reading this from last year you were right. Burg lost a lot of talent yet here they are back in a Regional semifinal game.
When you going to learn son, Burg don’t rebuild, they just reload and shoot right at ya!!!
Now now.... nowhere in my post did I say Burg wouldn't be good this year. I just said it would be an interesting year since they lost their 3 best skill positional players.
Lattimore has blossomed quicker than anticipated, and getting an experienced senior playmaker at QB move in also helps the healing process of losing Horsley
Burg is better than I thought they would be, yes, but by no means did I think they'd be "bad." They did lose the SOC for once though, so in some eyes maybe they are a little down? (Personally I just think Waverly is very very good this season).
Burg vs. Ridgewood will be an awesome game. A lot of you burg folk say your team is better this year and last year. Well you may be right! Because Ridgewood has nearly the exact same team as last year and will be facing Burg for the 2nd straight season. They got ya'll last year, but if your team is better this year than you have a shot at winning and moving on!
I for one would LOVE to see a Burg/Ironton game in the Regional Final. That would be awesome!
