I watched the first 3 games at the OVC preview, and honestly my Portsmouth Trojans had a very poor performance. 15 points in 2 quarters of basketball was a dismal showing, even if it is a preview. We didn't execute our half court offense, turned the ball over too much, didn't help out Miles Shipp on rebounding, didn't push the ball up the court like we should have, and missed too many layups and FT's. Defensively, we allowed the Dragons to penetrate the lane far too much. There just wasn't much good to say about the Trojans. Fairland has a good team, but it wasn't hard for them to look good considering the way we played.

Portsmouth is better than what they showed, but if they play like that against anybody, they won't win.

Chesapeake really impressed me.......I loved the way they constantly looked to push the ball up the court. They were fun to watch, and the Panthers will be trouble for anyone in conference or out of conference with the way they played. They also looked like their conditioning was outstanding.

Didn't watch the last game, Coal Grove vs. Ironton. Ironton of course was depleted due to the football playoffs.
