Refs Blow It
Mentor vs St Edwards
4th and goal. Overtime. Mentor fails to get in the end zone but the refs call it a touchdown anyway giving Mentor the win.

Re: Refs Blow It
The difference between St Edward and other programs is St Ed’s program won’t dwell on the bad call— they see their loss resulting from them not stopping the 2-point conversion. And for letting Mentor even stay in the game in the first place.

OHSAA cheating those private schools again? And a ful clip of the play from the actual GL would help, you can not tell anything from that clip. Or better yet, you could officiate and do better. Oh and it’s all the officials that made St Ed fumble on their 1 yd line going in as well.
Re: Refs Blow It
Sure doesn't look from the angle filmed it was a score. The #6 official in the Mentor uniform was right there to make the call. As he clearly had his arms up to signal a score.
Sure is tough to work to get to this point in the playoffs and to never know what could have been. This no matter how you want to say it will bother some for a long time maybe the rest of their lives. Especially if Mentor wins the State Championship.

Mentor fumbles. Ruled down instead.

First video is at an angle and not straight across the line the second is close. Now on the field in real time fast pace not slowed down only the eye test. Also we are only human and make mistakes!!

Please show me an angle where it is definitive the ball never crossed the Goal Line. At no level of replay, HS, NCAA or NFL could that camera angle be used in anyway other than a “stands“ ruling on the field. But somebody in his mother‘s basement watching YouTube over and over can make that call? Priceless!farmer wrote: Sat Nov 23, 2019 8:22 am Sure doesn't look from the angle filmed it was a score. Whatever the call was or should be would effect players on the losing team to know what if. I did say from that angle and am not interested in looking on YouTube for all the plays. It is part of the game for better or worse.

Re: Refs Blow It
I saw the 2 pt conversion video 3 times and it looked like a successful pass/catch to me. No slow mo but I don't see why it was no good.

Why would you bringing facts into a message board? You suck all the fun out of the complainers who have to lay blame!Raider6309 wrote: Sun Nov 24, 2019 8:27 pm This angle shows it was clearly a touchdown

Re: Refs Blow It
When all else fails, blame the refs. There will be close plays in every game. Just because they don't go your way it's the wrong call? Neither of the videos shared (fumble, touchdown) look to be bad calls. Since you can use video to slow down/pause the fumble, you can make an argument that it was a fumble..you'd be wrong but you could make that argument. However, you can also make an argument that the runner was reaching the ball out further for additional yardage AND his knee was down before he actually lost control. Ref was correct in this case..no fumble. Your video proves the call on the field was correct.
