This week Ironton needs to work on mental errors penalties and fumbles but last night they did great holding on with the ball, only one fumble was questionable and I think Saylers was down. I’m just looking at the season as many tigers fans talked about it all year. Take the fumbles at Ashland and this tiger team is undefeated. I think it’s always nice to have a down to the wire or loss just to let the kids no they can be beat. Like a wake up call and since Ashland Ironton has been on a roll and not looking back!!

I attended the Waverly/B.C. game at Chillicothe last Saturday and it was a nice facility. Plenty of seating, parking, a very nice score board with replay, and good concessions. Jackson is hard to beat but in my opinion this is the 2nd best option, and as far as driving conditions, it's the best option. I prefer to stay off 93 anytime I can. With the new bypass it should be about 1hr 15min drive from ironton.

As a former Ironton Tiger and IHS graduate, I'm thrilled to see this game played in my adopted hometown of Chillicothe.

For restaurants - right along Bridge Street we have: Buffalo Wild Wings, Los Mariachis, Tumbleweed, Frisch's Big Boy, Texas Roadhouse, Olive Garden, Steak N Shake, Red Lobster, Rooster's, Golden Corral, and many more......

If you want something different - a taste of Chillicothe - try the Sumburger at the north end of Bridge Street, or The Dock on Water Street. There's also the historical diner, Carl's Townhouse. Don't forget the legendary Jerry's Pizza on Paint Street (a little crowded but a Ross County landmark).

The quarterback for west Jefferson is the coaches son there offensive line is huge but there defensive line and linebackers are very small

My personal favorite is old canal smoke house on water street.

I just ate their yesterday for my birthday. I get off at 4 next Saturday and probably will grab a quick bite at Frischs or Canes and head on to the game so I can hopefully get a seat. I love my hometown of Portsmouth but there is no arguing that Chillicothe is the jewel of Southeastern Ohio as far as shopping, dining and accessibility by 4 lane well lit highways.

I think ironton rolls in this game. West Jeffs strength is their running game, and ironton plays great run defense. I can't see W.J. moving the ball with much success. Ironton is just ridiculous on defense for a D5 team.
How can that be? West Jefferson’s QB is the leading passer in D5 Ohio football according to Max Preps. He’s thrown for 2,635 yards, 32 TD’s and only 1 interception. That came on 196 attempts and 145 completions

I thought their running back was leading in rushing in the state. So it’s the QB? The clips I saw the QB reminds me a lot like tingle, except they don’t run the same offense. West Jeff seems to run the ball more. Offensive line looked good to me. Not sure of their defense. I think this is ridgewood 2.0

I don’t think west Jefferson’s defense is better than ridgewood

You might be right. Haven’t seen them but looks like they give up points unless that’s on jv or late in game.

https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source= ... 86QWZSXIly
Looking at their Season stats, they'er not one dimensional at all.
The qb exploited a lot of weak smaller defenses this year when passing. Against Shawnee in the semi he was situational and completed 8 of 10 passes for 340 yd and 5 td's and in the WLS game he was 5-6 for 66 yd with no td's and they used all ground game with Jones running wild for 300 yd and 5 td's. Ironton has not and will not give up a 42 yd. per catch avg. nor a 300 yd. running game to any opponent this year as the last 2 teams to play West Jeff have done. I have no dog in the fight but don't think this one will be close.

Fast! Shifty! Runs low to the ground!
They’re good!
Tigers D Time!
Gotigersgo
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
