I agree 100%. It is far more likely that SE finishes dead last than Unioto finishes first.

We agree.. Hope all you want you may even be correct in the end. I don't think our predictions are that different. You have a dog in the fight and more confidence in Unioto than I, nothing wrong with that. I fully expect Unioto to finish 3rd and that is not trying to be malicious. Just feel a couple teams are a little better.

I agree and I’ve mentioned that In several posts. With this team 3rd wouldn’t surprise me a bit. Obviously would love to see us give the other 2 all they can handle but we also can’t sleep on the rest of league.

Whats the story on Nesser? Anyone know or is it all rumors? I believe ZT had some BIG 8th graders last year who could support Nesser and Davidson inside if needed. Not sure if theyre good enough to play varsity yet?

I think SE will be greatly improved with a new coach and that class of Sophomores one year older.

From what I’m hearing Nesser is playing but I doubt they’ll put a big load in him early but knowing Kellough, who knows. My son said he seen Nesser dunk a basketball pretty easy at the preview but the lateral movement is unknown. They do have a big freshman that will fill in when needed and from what I’m hearing he’s doing a pretty good job.

Piketon appears better than I expected them to be. I’m not sure either team they beat is very good, but I saw that they hit 10 3’s tonight after playing lockdown defense yesterday, showing that they can win in different styles.

Both teams were not very good, but 2-0 is 2-0 no matter how you shake it. Winning games you should probably win is definitely not always easy to do for young teams especially this early in the season. Good start for the streaks and the league. SE with the only loss and it was to a really good Glenwood team that many are picking as a regional contender.

Both Valley and Whiteoak are ranked above Piketon in pfloyd’s preseason rankings, so Piketon defeating both is a bit of a surprise. Factor in a new coach/new system, only one senior on the roster, 4 new starters, and 2-0 is nothing to sneeze at.
