Re: 2019 Cincinnati Reds
Suarez needs just 3 more home runs to reach 50 for the season. He would become just the second player in Reds HISTORY to hit 50 in one year!

Re: 2019 Cincinnati Reds
Suarez has now hit more home runs in one season than any Venezuelan player in history.

2 games left. Suarez needs just 1 more home run to reach the magical 50 home run milestone for a season.

I hope he gets it. He deserves it. Very good ball player, and a good hearted person.
Re: 2019 Cincinnati Reds
Suarez fell one dinger short of 50 home runs but he still had a good season batting .271 with 103 RBI's.
As to the team:
Year Wins Losses PC GB. Attendenace Average
2019 75 87 .463 16 1,808,685 22,329
2018 67 95 .414 28.5 1,629,356 20,116
The net result of their off season wheeling and dealing was an improvement of eight more wins and dumping Homer Bailey's contract. The Reds had moments of power hitting but could not hit for average. Cincy also had moments of solid starting pitching but did not have reliable bullpen help.
The question(s) becomes do the Reds stay active in the player market during the offseason? Does Cincy stand pat and hope for better results with the same players in 2020?
Finally, does the Red front office trade everybody they can for future prospects essentially putting a AAA team on the field with low salary as the cornerstone of another rebuilding attempt.

Re: 2019 Cincinnati Reds
Reds' GM Dick Williams was quoted saying they will have a "nice" increase in payroll for the upcoming season. Does that mean they go get a couple guys for the bullpen? A 5th starter?
We'll wait and see.
