Post by Jacksonironmen07 »

What's the early predictions!
What will the 2020 team look like? Who is returning and who is going to step up and fill the spots that need replaced!

I believe they will be returning a good nucleus of players. Tristan Prater and Treylan Davis will be big factors on both sides of the ball. Grant Mastin should continue his defensive dominance again along with Evan Spires and Cayden Humphreys. The QB spot is stronger than ever with Jacob Winters. RB will be a question mark but time will tell who steps up. Blake Cross, Aden Strawser and Humphreys on the O-line and possibly Trent Evans. Should be another fun filled year. Need to have the commitment in the weight room again.

I would like to personally invite Jackson to petition to join the TVC. We need to get to 3 divisions, and adding Jackson would help us to get there. So please talk to your people down there and have them get in touch with us. Thanks.

Week 2 vs Athens should be a good one. Both should make the playoffs

I'm predicting NY will once again hurt, if not end, Athens' playoff hopes again next year.

NY will be pretty bad unless Rusty can get some Glouster recruits

Yea, I think you said that about this season too. But we were good enough to beat the puppies and win the league. But hey, we'll certainly take some "Glouster recruits." They're always welcome and our turf and weight room usually draws a few of them in. Heck we even get some from Athens and Logan, but I think that's more about tradition and coaching.

I said Athens and NY would play for the league title. The others said VC and Wellston would win it. I said Wellston would find a way to screw it up

VC and Wellston may never win a title again. They have revolving doors down there, and trading coaches between each other every few years hasn't helped.

After week 2 of the season I was the only one who thought NY would/could win the Ohio. Not even O&B believed it.

Jackson has the potential to be very good again, if the kids buy in starting in January and get in the weight room. Replacing some good players but the cupboard is far from
bare. Expectations will be very high as usual.

Graduated a ton of special talent. The returning players must improve to take their place. Weight room and classroom are very important.

The great depth at running back and defensive line will be tough to replace. I see a different looking Jackson. More passing and a lot of targets to Prater and Davis. Evan Spires will be a key cog in the offense...TE, RB, QB, WR. I don’t know where he’ll be but he’ll be very good. Heard Drew Bragg May return to playing...he would help. It’ll be interesting how Coach Hall uses a surplus of talented skill kids. So many of them could play multiple roles/positions. Prater/Davis/Spires/Winters...maybe Bragg...freshman Wolford. Mix in McManaway, Peril, McGraw, Jones...could Mastin or Humphreys have an offensive role?

I think the offense will be very good as long as a few kids step up and do another great job on oline. I don’t think the defense can be as good as last year but can be quite good.

Should be fun. Hope all the kids buy in again. That senior group was a special group. Low on egos high on result. 2020 could be another special season.

Any update on where/if any seniors are going to play at the next level?

Do we have a Week 3 game yet?

Getting Drew Bragg back out for football would be HUGE. Great athlete.

Oakhill would be a much better fit for the TVC Ohio. Good facilities and a DV school.

There’s enough kids coming back that should be able to carry the intensity through their now new found role of being the leaders. Jackson demands excellence. That will take good leadership through the months that football games are won. The winter. You don’t always have to be the most talented Team (helps) but you can win football games by outworking people. For the talent pool that would be GREAT if some athletes That didn’t play football decide to come back out and play.
