Wheelersburg Pirates 2019-20 Season

Yea I don't know a lot about what is going on in preseason or the relationship of the Juniors. I am just looking at Sanderlin and Swords as what they bring athletically to the team. based off of seeing them play the last few years. If the Older kids can stay ahead of them on the depth chart then Burg is going to better than i thought this year because that would give them some depth 7-8 deep

For sure, both of them are definitely kids that can ball out and will be expected to have important roles throughout the season.. A family friend of mine has a kid in the Jr class, which is why i made the comments about that class being so tight, form seeing them grow and develop over the years.

That's great to hear. There is no way to replace Holden. But if you can spread his production over 7-8 positions and have those fresh legs it minimizes losing him. I was told we have 6-8 solid kids in each class fresh-junior so the future should be pretty bright

I believe the regular season schedule has 22 games but i'm not 100% positive on that.

This is old news. There is no reason to bring it back up. Wheelersburg’s coach did not want to play Russell so they did not honor the second year of the contract. Move on!

I’ld like to hear more about this year’s team. They were the most talented team in the state last year but graduated a lot. How do they matchup with the top teams in D-III this year. The D-III teams up here (SVC) should be very good.

Most talented team in the state? How do you figure that? They had a great player, some good athletes, but not much basketball talent.

I don’t have any issue. I also don’t mind the Patriots or Clemson or Bama either. None are my teams and I don’t root for them but so many people can’t stand others that win a lot.
