Paint Valley's Pete Hollon Retiring
Paint Valley's Pete Hollon Retiring
The SVC coaching carousel continues. Hollon had a heck of a career.

Re: Paint Valley's Pete Hollon Retiring
WOW, that's almost half the SVC looking for a new head coach.
Re: Paint Valley's Pete Hollon Retiring
League lost a ton of talent to graduation. I don’t think these coaches needing to spend more time with their families All of a sudden is earth shattering news.
Re: Paint Valley's Pete Hollon Retiring
It wouldn’t surprise me to see Galaugher be the next coach at Paint Valley.

I was 99.999% sure Pete was done, after speaking to him after the last game I attended.
Any chance coach Cooper gets the nod?

The way his last stint ended with PV, I doubt Evan is interested in that.redchair wrote: Thu Dec 19, 2019 2:06 pm It wouldn’t surprise me to see Galaugher be the next coach at Paint Valley.

For sure, the family time thing is the go to for coaches. Like when Hinton left CHS and Kellough left Logan.mlittle wrote: Thu Dec 19, 2019 2:01 pm League lost a ton of talent to graduation. Pete Hollon put in 24 years and went thru plenty of rebuilds. He is well respected on the field but even more so off of it. To doubt any reason or explanation he gives is short sighted and ridiculous.

Agreed. I wasn’t singling him out just posting my opinion on the big picture with all the coaches resigning not just Petejoeboggs1 wrote: Thu Dec 19, 2019 2:40 pm Pete Hollon put in 24 years and went thru plenty of rebuilds. I am pulling for Cooper. He has put in his time and earned it. Time will tell.
Re: Paint Valley's Pete Hollon Retiring
Pete had an awesome career at PV. Always been kind to my son after games. He’s definitely gonna be a hard one for the league to replace.

All have different reasons. Lost a boat load of talent in the league to graduation. This is just the aftermath of that in my opinion
Re: Paint Valley's Pete Hollon Retiring
If Gallaugher was going to coach next year he would have stayed at SE.
Re: Paint Valley's Pete Hollon Retiring
Coach Hollon did not retire because of a lack of talent. If you know him you know the why but PV is not void of talent next year.
Re: Paint Valley's Pete Hollon Retiring
you never know. They do have a good bit of talent returning.redchair wrote: Thu Dec 19, 2019 2:06 pm It wouldn’t surprise me to see Galaugher be the next coach at Paint Valley.
