How well will the NY Girls team do this year in the TVC?

I think they will finish second or 3rd. Defensively they are pretty solid. They are a bit inconsistent shooting at times though.
They are fun to watch and play with a lot of heart.

Good win by Vinton County. Eastmoor is not the team they have been in the last few years. With the lose there record is 4-4. One of their losses was a 90-19 loss to Columbus Africentric

We have 8 players. VC is a deep team so I thought the lack of depth would hurt us against a team like VC.

You are clearly smoking meth if you think Meigs will even keep it close. VC will be very upset and poor Meigs will be the team that they take their frustrations out on.

Wow. The fact that people are on here bashing a absolutely great girls basketball team is really disheartening to me. These girls played a game last night and lost. Could things have been done differently to have a better outcome yes, but I’m sure every single game they are questioning what they can do to become better players, win or loose. No one will win 100% of the time but to me a lesson learned is just as good. Stop bashing the girls who are working so hard. They don’t deserve the disrespect!! Especially coming from adults who can hide behind a screen name!

For anyone who was at the game, did Newark press late in the game?

I attended the game last night and Newark is going for a deep tournament run so yes they did press till 4th quarter. Vinton County does the same. Maybe the other teams in Southeast Ohio should prepare like Vinton County does.

Agreed, they are 3 point snipers and the shots aren’t falling right now. The problem is the Coach Bentley doesn’t have another game plan. They practice shooting the 3 ball and nothing else. I would like to see VC try to work the ball into the post more and work the 3 ball in around that.

Exactly. Got out coached. Now the coach will probably do like others have said and press the lesser teams they play until the final buzzer.
