Big night for Trey. Good for him. Kid lives in the gym and it’s paying off.

Congrats Waverly. A healthy team for the tigers has SEO Elite 8 potential imo

D2 East seems to be down a bit this year record wise already from last but Sheridan or FU are probably favs in SE district for regional berth and we all know the Columbus entrant will be a bear to beat. ;)

Great win by the Tigers tonight. Robertson kept taking the ball to the hole and only one time did anyone try to get a charge, which was successful.

On a side note, Burg was no way the number 1 team in the state.

Truitt has to shoot more for them to move on come playoffs. He scored 8 points in the 1st qtr and then never scored again until midway through the 3rd qtr. He has to be the go to guy for the Pirates. Ater has to recognize that and get him shots. He is there best player.

Burg missed WAY to many wide open shots in the lane. Burg was down I believe 47-31 when they went on a run to cut it to 53-52 with the ball and chucked up a three. Not a good shot there. Waverly then went on a run that a Burg couldn’t recover from.

Burg will bounce back and maybe pull out a win at Waverly.

On another side note the technical on Truitt might have been warranted but the Waverly player was running his mouth as well and got nothing. Oh well, that’s expected when you have Nichols and Throckmorton reffing a Burg game.

They tried early in the 2nd half to no avail.

I don’t see it
.did you quote everyone who thought Wheelersburg would win? I said I thought Trey would have a big shooting game. Trey hasn’t seemed healthy for a few games as per reading smurray’s recaps. I was impressed with Miller when they faced Jackson even though he didn’t contain Wallis. Waverly stepped up, they wanted it...they won. 100% credit to them

I didn’t see them winning at Burg...I’m wrong all the time.

Waverly made shots, Burg didn’t. Robertson was on fire and even with that Burg cut a 16 point 2nd half deficit down to one and had the ball and chucked up an ill advised three by a player that hadn’t hit one all night. McCorkle didn’t have his usual game as he as well as other Burg players missed a lot of wide open layups. I thought I heard on the radio that Burg had 37 rebounds with 20 offensive. That’s from a lot missed bunnies that they missed.

Waverly is a tough place to win but I think if Burg can contain Robertson a little better, maybe a box and one they can win there. I bet he had at least 10 layups tonight because once he got by the man out front no one picked him up.

You're right this is a normal year and Burg is a normal team.

Keep hearing about this great burg defense but they gave up 30 to Wallis on a gimp leg and 36 to Robertson tonight.

Yeah and he wasn't 100% coming into the game they said and also went down with an ankle it looked like in reading the updates. We'll see if Stulley is ok as looks like he went down as well and we know he's not game ready yet, just returning from injury.

The ankle situation scared us all to death, Trey included. He may be sore tomorrow.

Predicting a score like that seems a little bizarre to say the least. I can't figure this guy out. I thought he was from Waverly?? Yet always taking a "shot" at the Tigers. Strange......

Waverly keeps grinding and getting better each game. Tigers were lead by two sophomores and got another back last night in Stulley. Our two seniors are playing big and Brown is really having a nice season. This is one of the most enjoyable Waverly teams to watch in some time. I like their effort and the confidence with which they play.
