haha! My Indians still get no credit. Oh well, take care of business one game at a time and keep that bullseye off their backs. Congrats to all teams.Big Daddy 7371 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2020 6:25 pm D1

Really this is better than watching Comedy Hour, have Trimble ranked above Peebles that just beat you by 19 pts on a neutral floor.Big Daddy 7371 wrote: ↑Mon Jan 13, 2020 6:25 pm D1

Re: Week 2 Polls
The most confusing part is that Wheelersburg took 2 losses this week and there's still one voter out there who put Wheelersburg #1 in D3.... heavens... That individual needs removed from their job ASAP.

I feel like finding results for the teams you vote for would be imperative for someone. But, I reckon that’s just me.

Wheelersburg should have never been #1 to begin with this year but abunch of clueless pollsters most likely saw the record and assumed Tanner Holden was still there..... Wheelersburg then loses 2 games and there's still someone out there who gets to vote yet does no research and STILL votes Wheelersburg #1.
I'm all for local teams receiving recognition but I'm certain even Wheelersburg coaches would tell you the #1 ranking is/was ridiculous and unwarranted.

Re: Week 2 Polls
For the record, Ottowa Glandorf is the best team in D3 in my opinion. Loaded with size, talent, and a proven coaching staff. They also play a tough schedule and are undefeated thus far with big challenges still remaining. Harvest Prep is currently ranked #1 but personally I think OG would beat them. Versailles is also having a great season and receiving a lot of hype out of the MAC.
Fairland, Zane Trace, and Alexander are the 3 best D3 teams in SEO I've seen this year. I think Fairland at #10 right now is pretty fair considering they lost in the sectional this year. If they continue to dominate their tough schedule then by seasons end I could see them around #5 or #6.
I do believe New Boston is a top 5 team in D4 in all of Ohio... Whether they are the true #1 remains to be seen considering they may not even be the #1 in their regional with Berlin Hiland, Grandview Heights, and an undefeated Zanesville Rosecrans awaiting them.

Re: Week 2 Polls
Any recognition for this area is a great thing.
It looked as though around 20 writers voted. I wonder how many voters were from this area? That might explain why so many area teams are ranked.

Re: Week 2 Polls
There is no AP poll anymore- this is all voted on by the Ohio sportswriters group- most of these guys are sportswriters for small newspapers across the state- not major publications
I received this when I asked a local coach about the AP polls and why the SE district is getting so much attention.

Re: Week 2 Polls
If you look down through the years at the end of the season poll champions, the majority of them don't win the state title on the court. Portsmouth won the 1979 AP poll title with an 18-0 record, but lost in the district championship game to Ironton 54-52.

Burg will be back. Learned a lot from 2 losses last week. They will win come tournament time!!!!bbjunky81 wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 8:37 amYou would think.danicalifornia wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 8:32 amI feel like finding results for the teams you vote for would be imperative for someone. Re: Week 2 Polls
Burg is undoubtedly a top 10 if not top 5 team in D3 SEO. They will be a very tough out in tournament, no doubt about it. I fully expect them to make it to the Convo this year and compete for a district championship.BurgBaskets wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 12:10 pmBurg will be back. Learned a lot from 2 losses last week.
