I know Ader can coach. So that makes the problem discipline. We can all second guess x and O’s, but it comes down to jimmys and joes. Sometimes you have to sacrifice a W to get their attention.
Question is, would Burg faithful be ok with that?

Yeah and he’s not afraid to pull the trigger either. He dropped 13 on East his first career varsity game.
Collins #24 the big kid we played down low is also a Freshman
Very excited for what we’ve got coming up. Ready for 2020-2021

And beyond. There is some nice pieces there and some help coming. I could see y’all making a run at it in 23 with Roberts. Especially in D4Swanker Pine wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 9:43 pmJack Sparrow wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 9:41 pmLower kid is a freshman? Kid can really shoot it. Bright future

Assuming we don’t lose anyone ala Truitt style, I think we’ve got a legit case for regionals in two years. The lineup should beJack Sparrow wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 10:05 pmAnd beyond. Zimmerman (Sr)
Lower (Jr)
Collins (Jr)
Roberts (Fr) projecting him to be 6’6- 6’9. Barring injury I’d be surprised if he doesn’t score 1800 career points.
Not sure what grade Carpenter is in but I love watching the kid play and he’s got a little bit of size.
Campbell and Perkins also some good ballers in the JH
If the big rumor turns out to be true I’d expect some sweet transfers too.

The pirates haven’t lost a regular season game since 2017 and I can promise you one guy didn’t do it all. Yes, Tanner Holden was the biggest part of that streak, but the players surrounding him, was the best fit. They all played a huge role, some bigger than others but they got the job done and did what they could do. And if it wasn’t for a great harvest prep team, Ater would’ve had back to back final four appearances.. to say they would’ve won it all, idk.. Anything can happen at that level!Swanker Pine wrote: ↑Tue Jan 14, 2020 3:09 pmLol ok. Seriously. Ater is a top tier coach in SEO. Dudes like 37-3 in the past 40 games
or something like that
He took a team of nobodies to regional finals and lost by 4 points a few years ago.

Ater took a 7 loss 2012-13 Webster team to regional finals and lost by 4 points with the best player on the bench for grades and one player over 6ft tall. Finished 18-8. Don’t act like he’s trash

Lol. How many soc championships does he have at burg? There’s more to it than having a miracle season. Any coach at burg can take a team to the regionals about 1 out of 5 years. Barrick and lovenguth both went to final four twice. He could be all knowing as an x and o coach but that doesn’t mean he’s a great coach. You’ve got to embrace community.....respect other coaches at your school... and most importantly CONTROL your team. How many basketball threads have we’ve seen the last two three seasons of burg players getting technicals or should be getting them. You’ve even stated it yourself. Who’s responsible for getting that under control? He may be a nice person but coach?Swanker Pine wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2020 1:42 am Ater took a 7 loss 2012-13 Webster team to regional finals and lost by 4 points with the best player on the bench for grades and one player over 6ft tall. That's what I've heard is he doesn't have much community involvement. I'm pretty sure he is about the only coach also that doesn't come to Pirate Treasure, which is the biggest fundraiser Burg has for the sports programs. Have never seen him there in all the years he has been at Burg.laser breath wrote: ↑Wed Jan 15, 2020 6:57 amLol. How many soc championships does he have at burg? Not sure what that is about because him and his basketball team benefit from that fundraiser!
