Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #9
The records of the teams in the top 10-12 are insane. We keep winning and can’t move up. Poor Peebles and New Boston.
I still think Unioto should be over ZT. Obvi it’s a bit biased but I still believe healthy we beat them twice this year. But identical records and we split head to head. Not sure how you put one over the other without argument from either side.

... as always, IF there are incorrect records - just let me know ... we've had cancellations, postponements, rescheduled games played under the radar ... Southern Ohio teams slipping under the cover of darkness to play in those foreign countries along the river - KY, WVA ... let me know what I've missed ...
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #9
... the committee of one - me - struggled with that one for sure ... as you said I was going to take a hit from folks one way or the other ... the head to head split with the last one going to ZT ...mlittle wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2020 1:02 pm The records of the teams in the top 10-12 are insane. On both ends of it....which teams have surprised you the most as to where they currently are. Better than expected, struggling more than expected?pfloyd wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2020 12:48 pm ... Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #9 ...

Then Jeeps 4-1 in their last 5. I know D4 doesn't get much love but we’re about to be scary in February.
Got NW, Oakies, West Ports, and Burg to finish out the regular season

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #9
... struggling more than I thought they would? I go with North Adams - I saw them over the summer at Lynchburg's 1-12 school shootout - they looked to be a Convo Bound team again - although the question mark was going to be and is at the PG position ... I had NA in my Preseason Elite - not going to get there ... Meigs surprised me record wise thus far - felt they had the opportunity to be in the mix in the TVC Ohio ... Lucasville Valley I had in my top 20-25 coming into the season but they lost 6-5 Chase Clark to New Boston which hurt the Indians ... I felt Ironton would be better recordwise than they are - I thought PJ Fitch would be a difference maker as coach for I'town , when I talk to coaches who play against the Tigers - they will say that Ironton IS a better team than in the past ...Circleville has surprised me along with Lynchburg Clay - thought they would both be in the top 30 this season ... on the other end of Better than Expected ? Chesapeake - losing 6-5 big in Archer/ Hutchison both to transfers to WVa schools from last season - having the Panthers battling for the OVC title - great season for the Peake ... New Boston - yes the Tigers had many of the pieces from last years Regional team returning, yes Kyle Sexton 6-5 is one of the best in SEO BUT starting out the summer NB had virtually NO bench, the starting 5 had to stay in the game for 32 minutes and I told Coach Cox that at the Lynchburg Shootout ... before school started NB had a bench & size - Tanner Voiers & younger brother arrive, Chase Clark (6-5 inside presence defensively with boards/blocks) ... the Tigers ARE deep going 8-9 ... 18-1 ... not a surprise with their record just having a better overall team than expected when the season ended last season due to the transfers into the school ... Athens with Markins/Whiting was a surprise to me at this point ... Vinton County another pleasant surprise imo in the mix for a TVC titles right now - next season VC will be back in the top 15 with what they have coming up ... some would have Unioto/Jackson/Warren/Fairland/Peebles /Oak Hill as surprises BUT I always look at the Coaches ... the programs , these schools find a way to get it done - the surprise in this group would be Warren after losing their PG for the season right before the season started ... all of the others in THIS short list have excellent floor leadership - Unioto - Little, Jackson - Wallis, Fairland - Thomas, Peebles - Browning, Oak Hill - Drew Hanning ... so their success didn't surprise me ...

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #9
Oaks hanging in at #15. Two tough conference losses.
I don't see anyone cracking the top 8. But then again...I'm 936 miles away.
And Pfloyd on the telly? Look out....he may charge you guys for sitting next to him...lol. Good on ya, Pfloyd. You could do a weekly update on YouTube. Just a thought...

Once congress is done with impeachment trial, I'm having them look into the collusion between Pfloyd & Maddox. Surely we have packs of twizzlers changing hands somewhere on tape.

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #9
lookin at everyone records and I got to wondering VC is is 12-5 with 7 wins coming out of teams not ranked in the top 50. who is there best win?
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #9
By record I would say VC best win is Over a 9-8 Miami Trace Team. (Miami Trace beat A banged up Waverly team early in the year). With that being said their worst loss would probably be to Alexander.
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #9
... pfloyd is looking at this lineup for this week's travels :
Tuesday 2/4 : Logan vs Chillicothe
Friday 2/7 : Waverly vs Wheelersburg
Saturday 2/8 : Chillicothe vs Jackson ... #1 vs #2

Athens vs Logan better option for Saturday. Lol
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #9
Agree, especially the South Webster- Oak Hill game will be nothing like the first game of the year.Swanker Pine wrote: ↑Sun Feb 02, 2020 1:40 pm Then Jeeps 4-1 in their last 5. I know D4 doesn't get much love but we’re about to be scary in February.

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #9
If coaches agree with Pfloyd we could see a Unioto/Waverly Sectional Final.
Of course that depends on who they would each play in the semis and take care of business.
