22 seniors- we will see how good of a coach he is next year. If he has his team back in the playoffs then I would say he is one of the best coaches in SEO!

The community from Albany has watched this class since they were in fourth grade. They have won at every level coming up. What makes Coach Penrod results so special, is that he changed the atmosphere and got all of these kids believing they could win at the varsity level. He has defined each kids role. These kids don't really care about individual recognition, it is all about the team.

Alex has a good team.They are not 29 points better then Trimble bunch of mistakes can't do that against good teams.Didn't like how dirty they played a lot of personal fouls late hits ,targeting Trimble's QB twice when he wasn't even in the play which ended up getting his knee hurt not much class their,and yes they was flagged for it so it did happen.Hopo they do well because their run will be over in a few weeks ,then they will be back to 3-7 or 4-6 because JV is not very good 73-0 sat could have been more but was told to call off the dogs.Also little food for thought,Last year Penrod is at Alex.he is a Logan Grad.Word is Lancaster coach is retiring,Logan coach going to Lancaster because is a grad their ,and Penrod going to Logan.Hard to keep a program going with new coaches every couple years.

I don't think Penrod will leave Alex for a while. He and his family love the Alexander Community and they love them.

He could have taken the Gallia job but he applied for the Alex job and decided to stick to that commitment.

Looks like some sour grapes from the peanut gallery.

But the question is, will he step down and make up some story about wanting to work with his son on basketball skills only to apply for and take a different coaching job? Or will he stick it out at Alex and prove how good of a coach he really is next year?

This isn't new news about Penrod going to Logan but it was a bunch of hot air then and still is. Penrod might go to Logan some day but not soon.

Maybe.But he is young and most guys seem to want to go back home.He hasn't moved from galla. .yet ethier still driving back and forth to alex.He has to know he will be in rebuild mode.Something to think about move up to D-2 were you seem to have players all the time or rebuild were their really not much coming up,plus you have the chance to go back where you went to school.All this is just here say right now.

Yes Logan is technically D2 but really more like D4 or D5 with the number of students per square mile. Plus they only put 11 players on the field just like D7 teams do so they are not that much different.

I look for Penrod to have a chance after Coach Burke leaves that is if he leaves! Penrod would be a good DC for a year b-4 Burke leaves! Good team cause mistakes and turnovers! And yes the Spartans are at least 21-28 points better!

I hope meigs does do it.72 maybe 10 to 14 points not 28 points.I love it little small D-7 Trimble can get under you D-2 and D-5 schools skin.we just reload every year because we have a good program all the way down to youth league.One day you can be like Mike to,not.Bizzardman tell the boys to keep their heads up and eyes open because they will get hit during and after the play when their not even in the play,that's being cheap not tough.
