Actually burgs defense has improved tremendously. That’s why I’m giving the nod to burg in the rematch. If a referee tries to dictate the game for Waverlys benefit, then he’s a spineless man but I know a lot of refs who aren’t fans of burg but still call a fair game. Good refs let the kids decide the game.

Yes, it is a ref and the same man called this game last year at Waverly. He called 10 fouls total in the game none on Waverly. He had Holden and Truitt both on the bench in the first quarter, 3 minutes into the game with 2 fouls a piece. Burg had players last year that was able to maintain the lead until those two got back in the game. This years team can't lose their two top players

I don't give a rats arse what anyone says after this post, he doesn't give Burg a fair shake. It goes back to the only thing I can figure out is something that happened between him and Barrick probably 20 years ago that he can't let go.

I hope he can be impartial and call a good game and not take over.

Seems like a pretty dramatic stance heading into a game. When your mindset is already there than no matter what call the individual makes, whether it truly is correct or not, you're telling yourself it was the wrong one because "he's out to get us."

I've seen thousands of games over the years. I've seen abunch of poorly officiated games. I've never left one single game and thought "boy that official was out to get that team tonight."

Wow, I was joking around to have a little fun and ended up hitting the nail on the head.
The SOC has a league assigner for officiating crews and I’m sure he’s from Scioto County. I bet he would be aware of any “controversy” from last years game and wouldn’t assign anyone if he thought there was an issue.
I don’t know who yabbadabbadoo is but how would someone know who the crew is already? Waverly’s AD didn’t even know as of Tuesday night.

It really doesn’t bother me that kids transfer. I was just being obnoxious, in response to blaming the refs before the game even starts.
