... the Tigers keep surprising every time they hit the court - thought the game at Minford might be a game that NB would struggle with on the road , good shooting perimeter oriented team that could handle perimeter pressure BUT NB met the challenge, took care of "bidness" - depth, talented BIG man in 6-5 Kyle Sexton (jr) who can/does get you a double double any night out ... the impressive thing is the pressure from a 9 deep rotation for 32 minutes ... McKinley might have the quickest hands & feet in SEO ... the addition of Voiers shooting the 3 ball lifts the Tiger value immeasurably ... I feel a disciplined/fundamental team would/will give the Tigers trouble ...the only loss being to a very good Peebles team that NB fought all the way back from a 16 deficit to have 5 straight trips that with bucket have given them a lead ... 20-1 hard to argue with and say "these teams would beat NB ..." but it's all opinions , even mine ... it's almost put up or shut up time ON the court with the one done season starting sooner than later ... going to be fun to see who survives and advances in the post season ... one thing is certain - pfloyd will be in the cheap seats watching whoever is playing at the Round house in Athens ...scott1297 wrote: ↑Wed Feb 12, 2020 5:23 pm Thanks for putting all this together it's awesome that you do this I enjoy reading all the posts and stuff! But IMO New Boston should not be ranked above Waverly or Wheelersburg I feel that the Burg or Waverly would beat New Boston on any given night but they do not play so we will never really know. I think that New Boston would probably be the 4th best team in the soc ll behind oak hill and waverly and Burg. It would be awesome if they could play some of those schools

Blanchester 65
Hillsboro 62
I think Blanchester was 19-1 with the Sipple kid over 1800 career points and a good 6’8 kid

... I saw Blanchester over the summer I92 at the Lynchburg Clay shootout - they had 3 players who played above the rim - outstanding, talented players ...

Per Josh: that date isn't going to work. So Peebles @ Chesapeake is off for 2/28
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #10
Congrats Peebles on a great regular season.finished strong against a very good D2 Miami Trace squad. Peebles 66- Miami Trace 47. Finishing the season on a 17 game winning streak and entering the tournament as a 1 seed and winning your SHAC division title It's a new season. Everyone from here on is 0-0 in this one and done season. One game at a time. Go Indians.
While I'm at it: coach Arey MUST be considered Coach of the Year. 2 and 2 to start the season: 19-2 final record. The good thing there are 9 Jrs and a bunch of freshman and reserves coming up for next year. Way to go coach Arey.

Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #10
Pfloyd's last regular season game tonight before starting the post season ... keeping it simple tonight - taking the 5 minute drive to Jym's Gym to watch Logan host the Vinton County Vikings of Coach Combs ... due to Logan playing the majority of their games vs teams Above the Lancaster-Dixon Line I have watched the Purple as much as in past seasons - I've taken in Logan @ Unioto (Chiefs 2nd game of the season), then didn't see Logan until they entertained Chillicothe in the last 2 weeks, Logan @ Athens, Logan vs Warren again all within the last 2 weeks ... the Chiefs are 4-4 vs SEOhio opponents on the season with wins over winless (0-21) Washington CH, Athens, sub .500 Gallia Academy, Logan Elm - all D2 schools ... losses to D1 Chillicothe (the BEST team overall in SEOhio no matter the division) , Unioto Co-Champ of the SVC, Sheridan SEOhio top 10 team, and vs SEOAL rival the Warren Warriors ... with Logan 4-4 vs SEOhio (SE District teams who I affectionately label as teams Below the Lancaster-Dixon Line) the Chiefs are 1-12 vs the rest of their Above the Lancaster-Dixon Line schedule with the only W coming in the first game of the season vs Lancaster ... currently Logan ranks #61 based on record among the 71 teams in SEOhio according to the SEOPreps standings (this does not take into account strength of schedule etc - strictly record alone) ... taking into account strength of schedule/record/eyes on comparison vs ALL other schools in the SE district stands at #33 ... a good showing tonight vs #25 Vinton County would have the Purple & White moving up the Pfloyd Elite 8 rankings ...

I think that’ll be a good one to watch tonight!
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #10
... Coach Combs & his staff are one of the best in SEO ... the last time I watched Coach Combs at Jym's Gym was last sectional season vs Warren - one the most outstanding coaching "performances" I have witnessed ... the VC preparation FOR the game - outstanding, the VS execution during the game - outstanding ... so much respect for Coach Combs & his staff at ALL levels - outstanding ... I'm with you daniC - it should be a good one tonight in Logan !

Impressive
look for most with deep tournament runs
could have flipped 4 and 5

Warren has lost 2 in a row. I would probably move them out of the top 15
Re: Pfloyd's Elite 8 of Southern/SouthEast Ohio Week #10
Yeah, well I got stuck after 13. Alexander lost their point guard, Athens lost Butcher, Oak Hill not looking as good, Warren lost a couple, Logan Elm lost a couple...thought about Logan but Warren just beat them. Fed Hock considered. Trimble considered. Adena powering up but have lost too many. Ironton maybe better than all of them.
Top 13 don’t seem debatable. 2-8 are pretty tight

Yeah that’s kinda where I got stuck too lol. I’m a FH homer so they would have been 15.Ironman92 wrote: ↑Sun Feb 16, 2020 2:54 pmYeah, well I got stuck after 13.
