SW is like the Atlanta Braves of the 90’s. They only show up for regionals

Jokes and banter aside I’m looking forward to it. We have 4 seniors with this being their 4th straight appearance in the roundhouse.

Trimble 7-12 points in this one. Howie will have a great game plan.

I am hoping for a SW win in this one but sooner or later the rebounding deficit is going to catch up with them.
Hoping for SW but will take Trimble by 9

Re: Just South Webster vs Trimble - DISTRICT SEMI
Not having seen either team, I would think that South Webster would have the edge based on their SOC2 schedule......Wheelersburg twice, Waverly twice, Oak Hill twice, Minford twice.......Howie Caldwell always has Trimble a tough out in the tournament, but the Tomcats don't play the schedule that the Jeeps do. I know the Jeeps have been inconsistent at times, but that may have to do more with their schedule. Tough to be consistent against that competition.
Re: Just South Webster vs Trimble - DISTRICT SEMI
Agree that Trimble has played a very tough schedule but I have been told that they practice like they are playing in the state championship game every day.trojandave wrote: Tue Mar 03, 2020 11:44 am Not having seen either team, I would think that South Webster would have the edge based on their SOC2 schedule......Wheelersburg twice, Waverly twice, Oak Hill twice, Minford twice.......Howie Caldwell always has Trimble a tough out in the tournament, but the Tomcats don't play the schedule that the Jeeps do. Bulldog84: I think it's safe to assume that Howie stomps his feet in practice too. He will have his Tomcats ready to play for sure.

We only get killed on the boards when the other team has two big bodies over 6’4.
SV the leith brothers are animals.
I’m actually thinking we’ll get the edge tonight if it’s true Trimble has no one over 6ft.
Bockway is 6’5 with mad hops and Zimmerman is 6’2 and can get up there.
Interested to see how Trimble defends a 6’5 who can shoot from half court. Do you bring two at him?

Re: Just South Webster vs Trimble - DISTRICT SEMI
Webster could beef up the non conf. Schedule more like Ironton.
Like Dave said
Burg 2x
Waverly 2x
Oak Hill 2x
Heck Minford was really good this year honestly.
We also played at Fairland and only lost by Ten in a 8 vs 5
Came back from 20 down at Green after they opened the first period with 7 or 8 threes
Beat Symmes at our place, no slouch as they gave St joe all they wanted twice.
The top 4 in the SOC 1 this year were surprisingly good this year which is who we usually schedule up with. We dropped NB to kick off the season with Voirs going there.
Ironton is the example we should strive for

Trimble a very good team this year, Howie will always have them prepared and playing hard. South Webster will need to bring there A game tonight, in order to get a win. Good luck Jeeps, will be pulling for you all the way.
Re: Just South Webster vs Trimble - DISTRICT SEMI
WOW! Sounds like SW is unbeatable at this point in the season. Are you going to the game tonight Swank?Swanker Pine wrote: Tue Mar 03, 2020 12:06 pmBleeding Red wrote: Tue Mar 03, 2020 11:35 am I am hoping for a SW win in this one but sooner or later the rebounding deficit is going to catch up with them.

Re: Just South Webster vs Trimble - DISTRICT SEMI
I think Guffey for Trimble is about 6’1”. Strong athletic kid, rebounds well. Koons about 5’11” physical, will put the body to you. The more physical the better for their style of play. Looking forward to watching itSwanker Pine wrote: Tue Mar 03, 2020 12:06 pmBleeding Red wrote: Tue Mar 03, 2020 11:35 am I am hoping for a SW win in this one but sooner or later the rebounding deficit is going to catch up with them.
