UCF has declared themselves NCAA basketball champs for this year so it's fair to let Fairland do it as well..... :lol:

If the OHSAA somehow conducts the basketball state championships, then all the Elite 8 teams should be advanced to the state tournament. No regional championship games. Just start the state tournament earlier in the week. Maybe it's not possible to format it that way, and it probably won't happen anyway, but that's what I would do. If fans are allowed to watch, make it one price for all games (say $15), and they can stay there all day if they wish. Use Sunday for the state championship games to stretch out the week with that many games being played.

Jerry Snodgrass, OHSAA commissioner, was on Wall to Wall Sports on Saturday night, and he is still holding out hope that the winter sports championships can still be held.

I wonder if they could continue in May-June? I'd hate to see the guys who are seniors go out not finishing their final season and not know what could've happened..
