Opened the last beer in the cooler, and slammed it.

Then yelled F**k Wisconsin, bring on Purdue!

Sat there with a dumbfounded look on my face and fought back the urge to puke. I then immediately shut my phone off in order to avoid the barrage of phone calls that were destined to come my way from my SEC buddies.

I didn't carry on too bad because my daughters were in the room watching the game with me.

Seriously..you must have been real drunk, in self denial, or thought you were in a dream..because no NUT fan like yourself doesn't just say F# it and goes on..OSU lost the little respect they had and way too much was on the game to just say "Bring on Purdue"!!! I think deep inside you were truly self loathing what was to come..and the fact that your National Title hopes were blown to smitherines by a team who in all actuality should have been beaten had to hurt (just like I would have been if my team was in the position OSU had) which admittingly they were not.

What did I do after the game? Thought..what is the use to rub it in..that isn't the way to be..so I let I let go..slept like a baby..got up at 6 AM to watch sportscenter and re-hash the events all over again :):):) and I hope the bigten network re-plays it over again too!

Now, for what DUB intentionally meant this thread to be..I think Purdue messes with OSU for a few quarters..we still see the problems OSU has on D with their replacement secondaries and then OSU blows the game open..

35-10 OSU

In Dubs defense, the game was well in hand when the final whistle blew. It wasnt like Wisconsin had won on the final play. He had come to realization of the loss earlier. Thats why he said "F it".

The game was 21-18 with 11;38 left in th 4th after being down 21-3 at one point. You can't tell me the NUT nation wasn't thinking a comback was in sight! I sure thought Wisconsin was going to lay down..it wasn't like the game was over at half time.

I had high hopes until our cornerback got beat 2 times on third and long that kept the Wisky drive going.

Exactly! When we were down by 3, I was hoping we could keep it going and get the come back. When we had the chance to get the stop on third down and we gave up a play action 20 yard pass to Nick Toon, that was the ball game.

I've spent yesterday and today listening to sports talk radio, and getting to hear what the rest of "nut nation" has to say. Almost to a man, they are ticked we lost, but have seen the weaknesses that Wisconsin exploited all year. I'm very serious when I say that the buckeyes fans are mad we lost, but very eager to get to Purdue.

So when I said I slammed the beer, cursed Wisconsin, and called on Purdue, I want alone in those thoughts. We got our butts handed to us, it wasn't a case of being a close game and letting it get away, that would have lingered much longer. Much like the Purdue loss from last year has.

If we had Minnesota or Northwestern on the schedule next, then maybe I wouldn't move on so fast. But due to Danny Hope running his mouth after the Purdue game last year. I want to see him eat his words in a big way.

Go Bucks!

Oh, by the way:

Ross Homan and Christian Bryant are out Of the Purdue game, Homan for a sprained foot, and Bryant has been hospitalized by a foot infection.

Listening to the Tressel press conference today, all season long has has been a little more "happy" and cordial with the media than in the past.

Today, he has a tone of being more focused, and he's being more of the old "surly and aggitated" coach.

Hopefully he has channeled some of Nick Saban's anger and focus and sent it on to his troops.

Again, all you can do is move on to the next game. Purdue is not good. Actually they are terrible. But I know all of nut nation is mourning over the loss just like I would if my team lost such a crucial and meaningful game. I have listened to a lot of "sports talk" too and surprisingly every one who calls in owns up to the OSU weaknesses rather than making excuses and I commend for that. I was worried that they would blame it on the 4th quarter Jump Around song distracting the OSU players or some BS like that (JK)

Sadly, if there was a tourny system many teams right now wouldn't be as worried about a one loss season..a few are OSU, Alabama, Nebraska, and I know I am missing some.

Here is my frustration with the BCS. Just because you get knocked off doesn't mean you aren't the best team in the nation. It means you had a bad night and doesn't fairly decide who is the best team in the country. For example, my Irish have now scheduled all but 2 games for 2012. Now please tell me your honest opinion, regardless of how good BK is at ND, can the Irish really be successful with this schedule. Note: Miami on october 6th is Florida Miami. Obviously we all know Irish can fluctuate their schedule strength and I never opposed a big ten joining, but we all know pollsters bash the big ten for strength of schedule and look at Boise and TCU.

I appologize for getting off topic here..but I think it does apply to OSU and the rest of college football when I mention losing one game and your out. I am just using the 2012 ND schedule because of the power it has and the (set up for failure) before they even start.

2012 Football Schedule
tentative
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
S01 vs. Navy (IRE)
S08 PURDUE
S15 @ Michigan State
S22 MICHIGAN
O06 vs. Miami (Chi)
O27 @ Oklahoma
N03 PITTSBURGH
N17 WAKE FOREST
N24 @ Southern Cal
@ Boston College 2 games TBA

what did i do or think. ohio state got physically handled, then we got back within 3 , then they shoved it down our necks again. i thought hire that o line coach. go to wisconsin , if we have to to get these goliath linemen. and wisky always has a 260 pound wrecking ball for a tailback. if they just grow them in wisky. then go find one. and lastly i was left wondering who taught the buckeyes to tackle. you don't ride a 260 pounder, you take out his wheels. i don't mean try to blow his acl out. make them shins burn like fire.

and lastly move on to purdue, and make em blow snot bubbles for 4 quarters.

As for the notre dame success question. At the spot notre dame is at right now, you can mark down 7 wins with that schedule. Is that successful, for what the Irish are yes, for what they should be, hell no!

OSU is a mash unit right now. I expect a semi-ugly game.

As for my reaction, I wasn't too surprised. Again, Woody Hayes had 2 unbeaten and untied seasons out of his 28 at OSU. Unbeaten seasons are tough to accomplish even with a loaded team. This team faced an even tougher path once so many defensive starters were knocked out of the lineup. OSU was trying to stop a very good power rushing attack without their most experiences and best run-stopping LB. Even his back-ups were dinged, so the next kid in line hopped into the game.

In the last 5 games OSU is 3-2 against Purdue. This has become a game that I no longer overlook or assume an automatic victory for the Buckeyes.

09-10: Purdue 26-18
08-09: OSU 16-3
07-08: OSU 23-7
04-05: Purdue 24-17
03-04: OSU 16-13
