Re: 2020 Football Season
Honestly for my money your post is probably the most pathetic ones of them all. In my case, I'm hoping my family members and people I know that are seniors get the chance to play, it makes no difference to me as fans probably won't be at the games. While I'd love to be, I'd like to think there's a glimmer of hope they'll get to play but even I have to admit with each passing day and things like the Big Ten and Ivy league canceling things that hope is slowly fading. Your post though, you simply jumped out of the peanut gallery with nothing to offer to the conversation other than insults, and you want to call "most" on here pathetic. Seems like your post was a self evaluation, spot on.Nipgencounty wrote: Thu Jul 09, 2020 5:29 pm Most people on here are taking this lack of sports way too serious. Find something else to do. Period. A bunch of old, more than likely overweight men obsessing over teenagers playing a game. Pathetic.
Re: 2020 Football Season
If you get it probably shouldn't give the, "so what you'll live" speech. That's simply telling people you really don't get it.BlizzardMan wrote: Thu Jul 09, 2020 7:08 pmI get it, but at the same time, they'll live.EasternDspy wrote: Thu Jul 09, 2020 6:47 pm I know a group of Srs that desperately want to play sports. It says for contact sports are there even any contact sports going on right now? Most are saying this is for the fall

Sure have, but some things are far more important. Fifteen years later, I realize missing out one season, even my last, would've been pretty insignificant.longball wrote: Thu Jul 09, 2020 7:23 pmGuess you have never been passionate about or worked your butt off for something before..BlizzardMan wrote: Thu Jul 09, 2020 7:08 pmI get it, but at the same time, they'll live.EasternDspy wrote: Thu Jul 09, 2020 6:47 pm I know a group of Srs that desperately want to play sports. You said it perfectly, 15 years later you would've made that realization. To them at this point in time, that's what's most important let them wait 15 years then they can evaluate for themselves whether it felt insignificant or not. Had this same conversation with the wife one day when I told one of the kids it's not a big deal and she said to them at this point in time it is, which got me to thinking. While I'll never admit it to her she was right, the moment that they are in to them it is very important no matter how insignificant you might find it.BlizzardMan wrote: Thu Jul 09, 2020 9:25 pmSure have, but some things are far more important. Re: 2020 Football Season
If there is football, I will be there, even if it's to stand in the parking lot. Seen too many kids hurt over the years and no parent there. There is no reason they can't give each player a pass or two to allow parents in, that will limit the number of people there and mandate they wear masks and stay 6 feet apart.
