Mr Bauer has a swag to his play.

For us red leg fans. Maybe that’s what we need in Cincy. Some swag.

Him fannin a batter then strutting off the mound like he’s Conner mcGregor strut. Well. That’s the type of move that you better go out and perform each n every time. Complete shutout games the norm.
Agree with you country, a little more of that Pete Rose swagger might go a long way. Bauer never lacks for confidence, but there's nothing wrong with that.

Agree with both of you. I think I read one of the rules, was if you were a bench player and not in the game, that you were to leave the dugout and sit in the stands. I'm not sure how that will affect the players in the bullpen though.

Just saw where the Reds Outfielder Nick Castellanos, and the Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge have both been named as the MLB players of the week.

Didn't see any of either game in yesterday's doubleheader, so I wasn't really aware of any of this happening, but it seems as if the Detroit Tigers relief pitcher, Tyler Alexander held the Reds lead at 3-0 by striking out "nine consecutive" hitters setting a Major League record for a reliever, and tying former Tiger Doug Fister's American League record for any pitcher.

I would HIGHLY suggest everyone catch what Barnhart did behind the plate against a stealing Base runner in the top of the 6th. Goodness gracious was it a play of beauty.

I’ll be looking for it in ESPN Top 10 tomorrow morning.

Reds starting pitcher Sonny Gray overcame trouble during the first two inn. and then dominated hitters through the 6th inn for a 3-2 victory over Cleveland last night. With the Reds trailing 2-1 in the bottom of the 6th inn, Joey Votto provided the big hit with a 2-run home run to give the Reds a 3-2 lead. Over his 6 inn, Gray allowed 2 runs ( 1 earned ), 4 hits, and 2 walks with 8 strike outs, and saw his season ERA go up to 0.96 after 3 starts. Very glad to see Joey Votto back in the lineup last night, as he came through with a big 2-run home run in the bottom of the 6th to give the Reds a 3-2 lead.

Great rundown. Vottos homer was 3-2 fastball knee high. Boy he sent it high in the sky.

The only thing I wanna add is the play of Barnhart. If there was an MVP of the game.

It had to be him.

In the early days of a short season. games like Tuesday have already become a frequent refraim for the Reds. The starting pitcher performs marvelously and is boosted by the lineup, usually by a home run from Nick Castellenos. Then the bullpen takes over and can't effectively support the effort. Walks and lackluster defensive in the late innings undid Cincinnati in a 4-2 loss to the Indians. After 11 games of the season, it's pretty obvious that you can't really depend on anyone in the bullpen.

I heard this being discussed yesterday, so I will just go ahead and ask the question. If David Bell's father and grandfather both had not been involved and played for the Reds, would David Bell still be the Manager of the Reds ?
