Dallas Cowboys QB Dak Prescott has written a letter to Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt, and also to the Oklahoma Pardon and Parole Board, asking for the release of black death row inmate Julius Jones. In the letter Prescott says he believes the wrong person is being punished for this terrible crime. I believe it said that Jones had been on death row for close to 20 years.

VetteMan wrote: Sun May 17, 2020 3:25 pm I probably should start a new or different Topic on this post, but since one of these guys had talked about possibly becoming a Free Agent at some point down the road, I'll just wing it here. I don't care how good of a player you are, if you are on an NFL roster, you have to be making a pretty good amount of money. These two clowns, DeAndre Baker of the New York Giants, and Quinton Dunbar of the Seatle Seahawks. while at a cookout party in Florida on May 13th, decided to commit a robbery by brandishing a gun and robbing the people of not only there money, but also there jewelry and watches and what ever else they could get. There was another guy with them, and as of right now there is an arrest warrant out for all 3 of them. I think the money and valuables all came to around 7000 dollars. They both are defensive backs in the NFL, or I probably should say "were" in the NFL. In college Baker played 4 years at University of Georgia, while Dunbar played at U. of Florida from 2011 to 2014. I'm sure that if there is any way that someone can blame Urban Meyer for Dunbar, they will do so. Dumb does not even describe these 2 guys.
A Search Warrant shows Cover-Up for DeAndre Baker and Quinton Dunbar in this Armed Robbery Case. A search warrant shows evidence that both players paid off their alleged victims of an armed robbery. The 2 players were issued arrest warrants on May 14th on 4 counts of armed robbery with a firearm, plus 4 counts of aggravated assault with a firearm. The search warrant was obtained by the Daily News as a matter of public record. It shows evidence and also shows a witness named Dominic Johnson oversee payoffs to the 4 victims on May 15th at the office of Michael Grieco, Dunbar's attorney. All 4 victims have provided sworn statements saying they were paid off to take back their initial testimonies against both players. The victims say they were paid a combined total of 55,000 dollars. To me if the Daily News had not secured the document as a matter of public record, this would have been swept under the rug, never to be talked about again. I also don't feel as if the 4 victims were victims at all, they were more than willing to take the 55,000 and go on their merry way. The bottom line in this whole situation being, that $$$ and sort of a shady lawyer, would have made this whole situation disappear.
Well this story has taken another twist, and it's really getting a little hard to actually know who to believe. Lawyers for both players have now denied a report that the 2 players did actually pay off the victims, in the alleged armed robbery in May. Law enforcement, both local and federal were advised from day one and beyond that the alleged victims in this case were actively extorting the 2 players. The lawyer said that these victims fabricated a robbery story after waiting an hour to call the police, and then immediately began contacting the players demanding money. baker's lawyer said that they have been in contact with the federal and the local authorities from the start about the blackmail attempt. The lawyers also said that these victims are seasoned career criminals who have been arrested and/or convicted of crimes ranging from conspiracy to commit murder to human trafficking, to filing a false police report. ( Sounds like just the type of people that you want to hang out and party with ) Miramar Police detective Mark Moretti wrote in the search warrant about messages between Baker and Johnson that appear to corroborate the victims claims of a payoff. Johnson is telling Baker to come to Dunbar's Lawyer's office. Baker is saying that I'm in the City now getting Cash, how much do I bring ? I'm trying to get there as soon as possible. Stay tuned in, I'm interested to see if this ever reaches a conclusion ?
I doubt very much if this is the last thing that we will hear about with these 2 idiots, but the latest today is : Giants DeAndre Baker has been charged with 4 counts of armed robbery with a firearm, while his good buddy Quinton Dunbar was not charged. Stay tuned, I doubt if this is the last thing that we hear.

The Washington Redskins have cut RB Derrius Guice after he turned himself in on domestic violence charges on Friday. In a statement the team announced that the organization's decision was to release the third-year running back. New head coach Ron Rivera has pleged to change the culture of the team, and the Guice arrest was the first major test of those priorities.

Deion Sanders was an incredible football player, no doubt one of the best that ever played his position. He very well might fall a little short of those lofty standards when it comes to his opinions on matters of public health. He decided on his own to share his thoughts on players opting out of sports amid the Covid-19 pandemic. He doesn't think they should opt out, and not just NFL players, but those in "All" sports as well. He said that all players " Opting Out "in all sports, "Please Believe" the game will go on without you. This is a business and don't you ever forget that. There's "No One" that's bigger than the game itself. I feel better already about the virus, just knowing that Deion has given his opinion.

Minnesota Vikings linebacker Cameron Smith needs open-heart surgery and will be out for the 2020 NFL season. Smith said that he found out that he needed open-heart surgery to fix a bicuspid aortic valve that he was born with. By no means am I done playing football, there is still so much more that I want to accomplish on the field. I'm going to attack this like everything else I have in my life.

Free Agent cornerback Captain Munnerlyn was arrested at the Miami International Airport on Friday. Munnerlyn was reportedly facing a fugitive warrant in Las Vegas on allegations of writing bad checks. The former Carolina Panther was last seen in camp with the Buffalo Bills last offseason, in which he was cut before the season began. His last action on an NFL field was with the Panthers in the 2018 season. He did spend 10 years in the NFL with the Panthers and the Minnesota Vikings.

The Washington Redskins have activated Reuban Foster from the physically unable to perform ( PUP ) list on Sunday. Foster,26, hasn't played since 2018, and is coming off a torn ACL, LCL and a MCL. The team claimed Foster in 2018, day's after Foster was arrested on suspicion of domestic violence. He spent the remainder of that season on the commissioner's exempt list, and did not appear in a game for Washington. Foster was reinstated in time for the 2019 season, but again tore his ACL, LCI and his MCI in his first practice, and again missing the entire season.

Court Documents reveal that Derrius Guice strangled his girlfriend. He allegedly strangled his girlfriend until she was unconscious at his Virginia home last March. When she woke up, Guice was crying and tapping her. The woman told authorities that the former Washington running back also pushed and pulled her hair. The documents also report derailed multiple incidents of abuse. A very good running back, who has probably ran himself right out of the league.

Deion Sanders is leaving the NFL Network. Although Sanders has received his fair share of criticism in recent days for his comments about players opting out of the season because of the Covid-19 pandemic, It is being reported that it is Sanders who opted to leave at the expiration of his contract. Sanders was one of the longest tenured commentators at NFL Network. He has said all along that he wanted to coach, and even claimed that he will a college football head coach in 2021.

Chicago Bears wide receiver Ted Ginn Jr. has always been known primarily for one thing, his outstanding speed. Even at 35yr old, Ginn is still considered to be one of the NFL's fastest players. Speed matters big time on offense, even if it's only used as a decoy. You know that Ginn is still a 4.3 guy, and he's still got it.

The minority owners of the Washington (Redskins) football team are pressuring Daniel Snyder to sell. Snyder, 55, has been majority owner of the team since he purchased the franchise in 1999. He has no intension of selling, according to the report. The franchise is in turmoil on and off the field. It was reported last month of an alleged longstanding culture of sexual harassment at team headquarters under Snyder's watch, citing 15 former female employees.

It seems as if the Baltimore Ravens might be taking a pass on Antonio Brown, regardless of how often Lamar Jackson asks. There are now reports that Baltimore is going to bring in Dez Bryant for a workout. Bryant, 31yr old, has been trying for sometime now to try to get back into the NFL. Both Antonio Brown and Dez Bryant at one time no doubt, were two of the better receivers in the NFL. But at what point do you finally say, that a bad headache overrides talent?
