I forgot to add that he is from Pickerington, Ohio, and plays at Pickerington North High School.

There was also reports of a RB doing the same thing. In this case. It is very nice to see and hear some folks turning this into a positive experience for Them and instead of crying , complaining, and being Mrs Debbie Downer. They are going to work , gettin the nose on the grindstone and look forward to captivating a moment while it being a bad situation with hard work and determination turning into a good one for themselves.

I didn't see anything about this Bad news, but Bill Pollitt, a member of the 1968 National Championship Ohio State Buckeyes, and longtime Franklin County Judge, has passed away from Covid-19 related complications. Pollitt was a guard/linebacker for the Buckeyes from 1966-1970, and was the backup to All-American Jim Stillwagon. Most of those who knew Pollitt knew that one of his career highlights was making the tackle on the opening kickoff in the 1969 Rose Bowl. Ron Maciejowski, the backup QB to Rex Kern, remembers Pollitt as one of the funniest most sociable teammates.

Ohio State Football Parents are not ready to give up on Football in 2020. In a letter written to Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren, the Football Parents Association of Ohio State are asking him and the rest of the Leadership of the Big Ten to reconsider cancelling the 2020 football season. We believe that the August 11th decision was made in haste. As we have continued to learn Nationally about Covid-19, our understanding and protocols in dealing with this virus have also continued to evole. In the best interests of our player, we strongly believe that the Big Ten should re-evaluate it's decision. The Parents close out their letter to Warren by pointing out that "football is a game of risk.

I don't think that it is any big secret that Dewayne Haskin's, first year in the NFL last year for the Washington Redskins, always went as smoothly as he would have liked. Well after a Head Coaching change, it appears as if the former Buckeye QB is in quite a battle to win the starting job. Ron Rivera, the ex Carolina Panther head coach, said that if the first game was tomorrow, that Haskins would be his starting QB, the next week would be Kyle Allen, and then we will go from there. Rivera say's we're not giving anything to anybody. Everything is going to be earned, and that is one of the things that we have talked about. He knows that's how I feel about it, and he is practicing like it. He is very competitive in practice, and he's done an outstanding job and again, he's got to show he deserves the opportunity. I'm not quite sure if he has confidence in Haskins at this point, I guess time will tell.

Ohio State Quarterback Justin Fields has created a petition on ( MoveOn.org ) asking for signatures in the collective effort to reinstate the Big Ten football season. We, the football players of the Big Ten, together with the fans and supporters of college football, request that the Big Ten Conference immediately reinstate the 2020 football season. Allow Big Ten players/teams to make their own choice as to whether they wish to play or opt out this fall season. Allow Big Ten players/teams who choose to opt out of playing a fall season to do so without penalty (sic) or repercussion.

A Cheaper, Faster Covid-19 Test Approved, Is it too late for the Big Ten to change course? A new Saliva Test has been approved by the FDA that can provide results within 4 hours and be handled by nearly any lab in the country at a cost as low as $4.00. It's being called a "Game Changer," but is it enough for the Big Ten to reverse course and allow football? It's already a PR nightmare for everyone involved, so I would think/hope that decision makers would welcome something to point to as a reason to walk back their decision to cancel. Or maybe I'm still in denial myself?

We are all still denial I believe. I don’t think the BIG10 will change their course of action. I feel they believe it will make them look as they are indecisive and dont truly know what to do if they reverse their decision. Another sign how we as a society was so ill prepared for such an event. I don’t know anything that hasn’t been flipped upside down over this.

Too

The BIG10 players demanded safety protocols and other measures to play the season. Think this had anything to do with the BIG10 decision to not play ??

Many things played into the decision:

The covid-19 disease it self. It is highly infectious along with uncertainty about respiratory and cardiac complications.

Liability due to the above.

Politics and likely desire by at least a few university presidents to put academics over football.

And undoubtedly the player demands were viewed as a threat to university authority..

Pick any one or combination of the above and you get a cancelled season.

Things are getting a little cloudy in Norman, Oklahoma. Sooners redshirt junior running back Kennedy Brooks has opted out of the 2020 football season. Brooks informed Sooners head coach Lincoln Riley of his decision on Sunday afternoon. Brooks from Mansfield, Texas has rushed for over 2000 yd and 18 TD in the past 2 seasons. The news comes on the heels of 9 players testing positive for Covid-19 after returning from a break.

I was a little suprised that Riley sent them home. Due to the safety. Culture and bubble they created for them at rhe sports facilities on campus that he would not take the chance in having happen what did happen. Riley seemed to acknowledge the fact that this was play with fire and even realizing still allowed them to go home. This may end up being the start of the end of yet another Power 5 throwin the white towel in.

I’ve looked up on the ACC. I could have sworn i read last week this week coming up that an announcement from the ACC if they were going forward with the season or postpone it to spring. The article I read made it seem that the ACC even though being said was 110% onward with the season that maybe it wasn’t so 110% sure ??

Any insight on the ACC rumor ??

I live in the land of the ACC and SEC and every thing point to a full go in football at this point in time. The one thing they have going for them though is time to see what develops. The southern leagues recheduled with start dates two to three weeks later than the big ten. They can afford to take a wait and see attitude for two weeks. The Big 10 boxed themselves into a corner.

Ole Miss is going to need to find a replacement on the offensive line. Senior center Eli Johnson has decided to opt out of the 2020 Ole Miss football season. I will be focusing on completing my masters degree at Ole Miss in December, I will forever be grateful for my time here at Ole Miss. The Covid-19 pandemic has hit quite close for Johnson. His father, David, a Media member covering the team, was hospitalized with a severe form of the Virus earlier this summer. Despite a lengthy and grueling battle with the virus, David was released from the hospital over a month ago and is expected to fully recover.
