Not sure who I got, but I do one thing Gallia will surprise people with its offense. P.S you aren’t used to seeing Gallia do what they are doing offensively.

Will it matter? Penrod’s charges couldn’t come close to handling Ironton’s physicality in a Memorial Stadium beatdown for the ages last year. Don’t see that changing much in 2020.

Tigers have to be the favorite, but I'd say it'll be closer than expected. Early pick is Tigers 34-22
Re: Wk 2- Gallia academy @ Ironton
Probably will make an effect, GA might not of had 120 yards again st them last year. Offense and defense feed of each otherHalf Slice wrote: ↑Fri Aug 28, 2020 11:33 pm Will it matter? Unless GA has made a huge leap from the team I seen play ironton and Waverly, just don't see this being any closer than 2-3 scores at best. Simply manhandled on the LOS. 38-14 ironton
Re: Wk 2- Gallia academy @ Ironton
This will be Ironton’s toughest regular season opponent for sure, but I think they win by at least 17. Granted Portsmouth has the worst defense I’ve ever seen, I’m fairly confident GA defense isn’t nearly that bad, but the Ironton offense was rolling on all cylinders last night, 50 at halftime.

Re: Wk 2- Gallia academy @ Ironton
good luck to the ironton fighting tigers as the blue boys from the French city come calling, and you can bet they are still smarting after a woodshed beatin' last year. I'm sure they have been reminded of that a lot. and ironton needs to stay grounded after a huge win to arch rival Portsmouth. every game is a new opponent , who wants nothing more than to make the tigers train get derailed.
IN THE LONG GRASS BY THE WATER, SO WATCH YOUR STEP. AND LET'S GO IRONTON FIGHTING TIGERS, OHIO STATE BUCKEYES AND THE CINCINNATI BENGALS
Re: Wk 2- Gallia academy @ Ironton
The 2020 Ironton team has generational greatness. Gallia is a OVC championship caliber team in any other season. Tigers 45 Blue Devils 14.

GA will show up with a lot of heart and will to upset the Tigers. But Reid n gang are hungry for Canton and a Blue Devil is up next.

Not sure that Portsmouth is that bad.Ironton may just be that good.Time will tell for both teams.
Re: Wk 2- Gallia academy @ Ironton
Ironton is the big dog on the OVC. GA and Fairland playing to be the second best team in the league. I do think GA will be fired up but Ironton has the talent at all levels.
I think Ironton wins big

Reid Pendleton for Portsmouth was all Over the field and any positive play had his name on it.
Fumbles caused, recovered, receptions, etc.
Ironton was simply tenacious on line play & go 3-4 deep in each position in the backfield & Defense.
It was great to see them substituting squads of players on both sides of the ball, Even when the game was not sealed.
They looked near end of schedule fine tuned right out of the gate.
If it weren’t for a p-town punt bouncing off of a tiger helmet for a fumble recovery , & another fumble recovery with 3rd back in for IHS who got twisted up vertically and ball got popped by a helmet for another fumble recovery,
PHS May not have scored.
I Town D is ferocious.
Portsmouth QB (Rowe, I believe is his name) is talented & I think Portsmouth is going to do well in ovc. He can run and be elusive quickly, release the ball fast if need be, and can air it out. He’s gonna have a good season & I think PHS will too.
Let’s hope the communities continue to stay healthy as the weeks unfold.
I’m at week 7 of being back to work @ Walt Disney World serving food and wine in fine dining in Epcot & we’ve had no positive testing or anyone getting sick in our restaurant crew of about 70 cast members.
