2020 Amanda-Clearcreek 17 - 12 Logan
2020 Amanda-Clearcreek 17 - 12 Logan
First meeting between these two teams. Logan coming off a rough 48-14 loss to Jackson where statistically they held their own on paper. However, big plays were the difference. Thoughts on this game?

Logan gets the "W" this week.
The BEST thing about people from Wellston is that they have JACKSON on their license plates!

Will be a battle.
Amanda's kids "know" how to win. Logan's kids still learning to get there.
Should be physical. Logan will HAVE to clean up the mental side of the game to have a chance at the "W."

Regardless of size difference, this is a game I would have loved to see about 20 years ago during the peak of both programs.loganlocos wrote: ↑Mon Aug 31, 2020 2:37 pm Will be a battle.

No doubt.
Heard some good stories recently about a Hocking/Fairfield County All-Star game where Logan and Amanda kids teamed up to pour it on Lancaster. Apparently the Amanda kids weren't big fans of the Carpenters, LOL

Just isn't the kids mental side........I was told they have some good players......OC play calling was a big part of Logan's loss according to some I mingled with.......Silliness might get them beat again by an even smaller school than Jackson........

This is great game for Amanda the win will go big for a d4 school beating a school twice it’s size.. I just don’t understand why Logan is not competitive at anything lately. To nice of a facility to big of a school not to be better then this..

I think we all know the considerable size difference AND the reason this game is being played. There was a scheduling hole to fill due to the scheduling realignment and they are close proximity. Let’s not hop off on a size discussion.

Ryan Day could have called plays and I don't think Logan beats Jackson.9.5 INCHES wrote: ↑Mon Aug 31, 2020 4:56 pm Just isn't the kids mental side........I was told they have some good players......OC play calling was a big part of Logan's loss according to some I mingled with.......Silliness might get them beat again by an even smaller school than Jackson........

LOCOS.....I've read some of you're post.....pretty smart guy hands down on history.....but com-on......no one said they would have beat Jackson.....Ryan Day wouldn't have gotten blown out either being a d-2.......silliness to keep passing after it wasn't working numerous times down in scoring position........when the run game looked good and what got them there to begin with most of the night......their first score was even a run I believe......I listened to the game.....well most of it......radio in the car going in and out over by Bremen......too many dropped and missed connect passes to keep plugging away at pass plays.....Pretty good QB for Logan with some heat on the ball but it definitely wasn't smart to keep throwing as much as they did.....Was told he looked good running as well when he did......silliness.....Have some product but its being used wrong again early.........I'm not afraid to say it.....others are seeing it.....I'm not alone.......loganlocos wrote: ↑Tue Sep 01, 2020 8:33 amRyan Day could have called plays and I don't think Logan beats Jackson.9.5 INCHES wrote: ↑Mon Aug 31, 2020 4:56 pm Just isn't the kids mental side........I was told they have some good players......OC play calling was a big part of Logan's loss according to some I mingled with.......Silliness might get them beat again by an even smaller school than Jackson........

I'm not a great football mind. Never claimed to be one. I'm a fan. I support the Chiefs.

Re: Week 2: Logan @ Amanda Clearcreek
Most team high school, college, pros go to the passing game when falling behind. With being rushed a little and just plain off on the passing game hurt the Chiefs. I would say Jackson had someone at the Marietta scrimmage. I would say it will take a few games with Logan young line on both sides of the ball. Young meaning playing time and not youth.
