It’s hard to pick against Burg in the SOC

Just a rough estimate guess 🤷‍♂️
You’re underestimating this burg team. They are a whole lot better than last years team.
It’s not about if Burg is better than last year , it’s how stinking good Waverly is this year
I respect that.

Burg or Waverly really hasn't played anyone good this year Burg beat chillicothe who has won 2 in a row since but against bad teams but a win is a win I guess and Waverly beat Granville who is down this year they just lost too Licking valley who lost to a division 7 school which who knows if that's good or bad . All i am saying is neither team has played a quality team yet. This friday is gonna be a good test for both teams to see just how good they are. I'm gonna give the edge to Burg I think they have played a tougher schedule so far. But if Waverly can get the passing game going it might be a long night for Burg. My prediction is Burg in a close one I think Burgs conditioning and overall depth will play a big part in the 2nd half

Not saying Chillicothe when it’s all said and done won’t be good but both wins are against (0-3) teams that are a smaller division than them
Hillsboro only scored 6 points against Western Brown, who has given up 81.5 points per game in their last two games. So, I wouldn’t suggest that Chillicothe just beat a good team last night

I think Waverly wins this one by a score.
As to Western Brown:

8/28 WB 62 Hillsboro 6
9/04 WB 61 New Richmond 77
9/11 WB 54 Covington 86

How do two high school teams score 140 points in a 48 minute game? Anybody with insight?

This game might have had a crowd like the burg - ironton games always do had it not been for this stupid virus
oh I imagine this will still be a big game for fan attendance but just imagine had this not happened you’d have to get there at 5
No joke!! Packed house for sure

Could be wrong but I thought it was only home games
Not sure waverly would allow them to stream for free when waverly charges $10
Yeah I believe you are correct, only streaming I've seen being done is by home teams only.
Waverly streamed at Valley last week but I still had to pay $10 LOL

Go Burg hoping for a good hard fought game and especially no injuries. Still sending prayers to the Oak Hill player who had to be carted off the field last Friday
Oh well, the quality of their live stream vs that of the other live streams I've seen is night and day. Game I seen seemed like there was also some commentary on it, it was either that or I was over hearing radio guys or something. If I was going to go to this game I would have more in it than sitting at the house and paying $10. I find it more of a BS situation that they don't allow SOME students into these games, because I already know these kids are having viewing parties so are we really controlling the social aspect of things by saying you can't come into the stadium in the open air with a mask on vs a large group getting together in someone's basement?? Would've liked to see more teams putting up temporary stands for students only one in 1 end zone and one in the other and allow some kids in.
Yes they're streaming has commentary and score boxes tells the downs and time and penalties it is a lot better than anything I've seen from any other school it is definitely worth the $10 and I can sit back and drink a beer and watch it

Neither is Waverlys win over Granville
Honestly they probably shouldn’t have won. Granville gave up 9 points and poor field position early in that game off some bad mistakes. Waverly still had to come back. But it was impressive of how quick Waverly can score and that’s what makes them dangerous. The game isn’t over with them until the zeros hit the scoreboard

You are correct but I believe Waverly had 2 or 3 turnovers as well. Plus to say early in the game is one thing but let's not forget Waverly was down 2 scores with minutes left in the game. Can't wait to stream this one.

Traditionally, burg plays one of their better games of the year against Waverly, they'll need that and then some this year. I thinks it's close for a while and Waverly opens it up late, tigers by a couple scores. Hope I'm wrong tho. Good luck to both squads.

Best Waverly defense in a long time. Wheelersburg isn't a power rushing team. That is the only way to exploit Waverly. You are not gonna run horizontal on them. Wheelersburg has no receiver that will win 1 on 1s with the Waverly secondary. I think Waverly will play Cover 0 about all night and shut down the Wheelersburg offense.

Waverlys offense has too many weapons. Wheelersburg will play soft in the secondary. If Waverly is patient they will dip and dunk Wheelersburg to death. Your not gonna get pressure on Shanks much. He knows his reads and gets the ball out too quick.

If Wheelersburg hadn't won so many in a row against Waverly, Waverly would be at least a 14 point favorite

This year?
Licking Valley lost to Lima Central Catholic this year..LCC is D7 but trying to rank teams based on classification, comparative scores, and perceived strength of schedule is foolhardy in this most strange of seasons.

At least Waverly and The Burg get to settle the issue of who is best on the gridiron.

Waverly is good, but they aren't even a contender in D4, they're maybe a regional finalist team if they're lucky. Can't pick against Burg in the SOC unless they're playing a juggernaut of a team. Give me Burg by a touchdown

Burg hasn't lost an SOC game since Week 9 at Valley in 2013. That's 30 conference wins in a row, plus 2 playoff wins vs SOC teams Minford and West. Don't see this trend ending this year, even against Waverly's best team in 12 years (a team which coincidentally lost the SOC title at Burg, Trevor Walls senior season).

Burg - 31
Tigers - 21
