It seems every team is always down 14 at kickoff at Wellston. Wow, that is funny down 14 already and it was a factor. It’s apparent you did not watch or check stats of the game. First of all, Wellston held VC to around 150 total yards and they were averaging 300 rushing. Secondly Jon Garvin had 140+ yards rushing and 3TDs, it’s hard to beat anyone giving up that kind of yardage. Thirdly, Wellston was penalized for 105 yards that game, so favoritism by the reds was not. Get your facts straight, the better team won.

It is so unfortunate that we had health injuries we are better than both Vinton and Wellston wouldn’t even be close injuries play such a role in high school football especially in small towns
