I haven't see DJ play this year besides on the highlight on SC where a guy put his nuts in his face so I can't really judge him. I can say that he was a total headcase in High School though and if you couldn't see that you must have watched the games with your eyes closed.
Congrats to him on living his dream. When he went to UNCA I never thought it would pan out but is seems to have so far. Hopefully he gets his act together or has gotten his act together and has a good college career.
Only advice I can give to him is next time someone is bringing it down the court like that is for him to foul or get out of the way or his mouth may taste salty again.

Sullinger had 19 against NC A&T, 40 against IUPUI, 17 against W. Carolina, so I wouldnt say he doesnt do much against bad competition. Also if you actually watched the game whenever dj and sullinger went 1 on 1, sullinger didnt score very much, not saying hes better than sullinger but dj is definitely not a joke. Oh and where does Vales play D1 basketball at again, oh yea thats right i forgot, i didnt know high jump was the same as basketball. Ill admit dj was immature at times during his early high school years, but he has grown up immensely and is a dominante player in the big south conference. And steely dan why would anyone give two sh*ts about what you think, your probably just a loser who gets on preps and talks about high schoolers all day, grow up man.

Ok, newbie genius, here you go. You really want to open up that can of worms? "I'll admit dj was immature at times during his early high school years". Now that, is an absolute crock of sh*t right there, and his opponents and the coaching staff from opposing schools would call you out on that one. He was a punk through and through, until the end of his HS career. You must be a relative of his to be so disingenuous....... Tom Simms had to be a psychologist to coach this kid, otherwise, he would have never finished one season.
Everyone in the TVC who went to the games where he was playing watched with anticipation of him blowing his cork over nothing, and getting T'ed up. He was a head case all the way through high school, and he is continuing that in college, as evidenced last night when the referee reacted so quickly, and demonstratively, to single him out and make sure that everyone knew who was getting T'ed up as the network went to break.
Oh, and just to let you know, Vales won the state HS high jump championship at 6'11", his senior year of high school, and is now in his third year of track at the University of Findlay, where he jumped 7'1" last year (which was the best or 2nd best jump in that college subdivision last year). Vales outplayed him head to head, (out scored him, out rebounded him, out jumped him) and DJ acted like a poor sport after getting outplayed by a player 7 inches shorter than him, whose vertical and arm span made him play like a kid 6'10". And that, is a fact.
You don't like my opinion, don't read it. Best you grow some skin, and get used to what is said on here, or just get off of this forum, and don't post anymore.

I couldn't tell you if he is a punk or not but I did see him put almost 40 points, 20 rebounds and 10 blocks on Manchester at the Convo a couple years ago. I didn't think his coach used him very well against Oak Hill playing him around the three point line. Bottom line he is playing D1 which takes some skills and Ohio State has made a lot of teams and players look bad.

Ok tardnark i said high jump is not basketball, everyone knows Vales is amazing at high jump. And everyone also knows that almost every team tried to antagonize dj and other teams showed poor sportsmanship right back at him, and all of your comments are comming from his sophomore and junior year, dj grew up a ton his senior year and rarely got upset, you must have not seen him dominate almost every game his senior year, almost scoring 40 in several games. That was also djs first technical in his college career and literally no one in the stands thought it was called on him. And telling me to get off the forum lol, you sound like a two year old and for some reason you think your the sh*t on a stupid high school sports forum, i bet your a real winner in life, congrats bud.

Anyone has an amazing vertical compared to Cunningham, he couldn't jump over a Watercord phonebook. Only 6'10 guy I have have seen that couldn't make a dunk in a high school dunk contest. I hope he has improved his vertical while he has been in college as well.
