I saw Oak Hill and Ridgewood play up at Lancaster in the playoffs I think in 2009. Ridgewood won a very good close ballgame that could have gone either way. That was one of Oak Hill's better teams in recent years. This years team plays as hard as they possibly can, they will simply be outmatched against a very good Ridgewood team.

Was that Oak Hills 10-0 team ?

One can only hope for the Oaks to pull off the upsets... but sadly this is a massive Uphill climb that might be too much

I'm pretty sure they were undefeated that year, I know that Weston Hale was a very good running back for them that year. That may have been one of the only times that they beat the Burg during the season.

Maybe a Jesse Slone at QB too ??? Was that 2009 matchup a Sectional or Regional Championship game ??

Oak Hill was 10-0 that year. It was the second round of the playoffs. Game was played at Lancaster. Ridgewood won 20-12.
Ridgewood and Oak Hill also matched up in baseball in 2013 I believe in the regionals in baseball at VA Memorial.

Thank you, you remember more about it than I do. I just know it was a very good game.

Very hard fought game between two evenly matched teams. Weston Hale was a load in that game. Ridgewood made just a few more plays down the stretch to win it.

Most lopsided games was Burgs win in 16 and the Woods win last year over Burg. All others were not decided until the 4th quarter. This game will be a running clock. Besides the QB they also have 2 twin Senior linemen that are possibly D1 caliber.
Thanks hammer89

One of the best non-turf fields around. Can't wait for Saturday night. Safe travels to those making the trip.

Agree about the Wood's football field, but its 2nd nicest field in its own district...to its baseball field.

Field looks great and alot of seating but too bad there is a track around it. IMO a track around a football field puts the fans that much further away from the action.

I can vouch as well that ridgewood Has the nicest grass field I’ve seen. It looks like turf. A great area and last year ridgewoods side was jam packed. Oak hill will have to pull off a miracle. Tingle is the real deal.

Ridgewood up 7-0 after the 1st. But that’s kind of deceiving, Oaks are outclassed in this one.
