RD 2: Monroe Central (4-3)@ Trimble (6-0)
Re: RD 2: Monroe Central (4-3)@ Trimble (6-0)
Got to root for Glouster in this one. They are a TVC team, a Hocking Division foe, and Eastern lost to them by 3 points with some key players out. It makes not just Eastern look good but the whole league when Glouster or any other league team wins a non-league game, especially in the playoffs.

Agreed. Pulling for a Waterford and Eastern win as well. None of us have a easy road ahead of us honestly. Region 27 is brutal. Any time a Hocking team team wins, it makes us all look good. Heck, I even pull for a big time foe (NY Buckeyes) after the Tomcats play them. Just good to see local teams winning.eagle25 wrote: Wed Oct 14, 2020 2:47 pm Got to root for Glouster in this one. Is this game still on? MC is shut down and everything is cancelled until Monday
“ The Switzerland of Ohio Local School District has been working with the Monroe County Health Department and have decided that due to the amount of affected students and staff the Monroe Central High School Campus will be closed.
The closure starts at the end of the school day Monday October 12, until Monday October 19.
The closure time will be used to clean the facility.
Students will be on remote learning plans for the remainder of the week.
Switzerland of Ohio Local School District says families of affected students have been contacted and was provided with additional safety information.
All extra-curricular activities and practices has been cancelled for Monday.
All other events for the remainder of the week are being determined and an announcement will follow.”

This board got quiet... I'm expecting a closer game than most have predicted. Monroe played River tough, and could have very well beaten Caldwell. They are senior heavy, and the cats are still a very inexperienced team. Maybe the long drive plays a factor for Monroe, could see this being a 3 or 4 TD game in Trimble's favor if things go Trimble's way-- but if they struggle to score, it could be a very tight game down the stretch.

Charter bus and the caravan to Glouster left Woodsfield a little over an hour ago. Game on! Good luck to both teams tonight, hope it is an injury free game!

Yes, and if you have ever made the drive from Caldwell to Glouster on Rt. 78, you would know what an absolute miserable drive that is.formerfcfan wrote: Fri Oct 16, 2020 4:12 pmThey would just have to stay on SR 78, right?Steely Dan wrote: Fri Oct 16, 2020 4:03 pm Charter bus and the caravan to Glouster left Woodsfield a little over an hour ago. First half MC gave the Cats all they wanted, 3 Cats turnovers didn't help. 2nd half Cats showed up and dominated
Its all in the hips
