Dang....2 goals in final 10, seems quite unlikely at this level

Correction Zachary Johnson had both goals for the Flyers.

It's always a fun time when you can literally pour water out of your shoes after a game... add in some wind and 46-50 degree weather and it's down right miserable to play, coach, officiate, and watch.
All 4 of these teams stepped up tonight. Burg simply dominated. North Adams kept their composure and walked out beaten but not defeated. They never gave up. It went as expected with some beautiful passes, great runs, and some finesse when needed. 1 card on a late hit... deserved. Not sure what the other one was for, but I thought it was earned as well. Had I disagreed I probably would've remembered it.
Lynchburg struck fast in what I thought was going to look more like the first game. It didn't. St. Joe would never go away. They clawed back and had several breakthroughs that if they would've followed through might've changed their outcome. I think the Burg was looking ahead just a bit to the Burg and didn't give Joe the credit they deserve. 1 card late flying over the back... I agree because of where on the field it was. Late in the game and chippy play. I believe the defense for Lynchburg played into it as the Flyers were able to shoot through some gaps.
By overtime those kids didn't have much left. Amazing play by all. Keepers, forwards, mids, fullbacks... To go into PK's speaks to the level these men were playing.
Is St. Joe a perennial threat, no. Just like any small school its a cycle. Are they going away... no. This group proved they can hang and I tip my cold, water drenched hat to them for that performance.
Battle of the Burg for a regional semi... I can get behind that.

Official that's a very good summary of the game. Due to the possession of LC in the first half, I didn't think St. Joe could hang. They most certainly never gave up and brought the fire in the second half, especially in the final 15 of regulation. LC had some chances that could've been the nail in the coffin but couldn't convert. Both teams played a tremendous game. Well done St. Joe. Great season! Now, after watching last year, and now this year, you don't want to take LC to a shootout. Can't wait for the "Battle of the Burg!" We will see if the Pirates can get their revenge...

Great season Flyers !! I know St.Joe didn't go to Waverly looking for a moral victory, they went to Waverly expecting to win. It sounds like they gave everything they had but came up just short. I know the entire #Flyernation is proud of this team and their coaches !!!

According to the OHSAA site, the game is to be played at Lynchburg Clay. I thought the game would have been played at Waverly or Wheelersburg since Wheelersburg is the #1 seed. Am I missing something here?

I would imagine that that will change if it isn’t simply a misprint
