Takkarist McKinley's stint with the Cincinnati Bengals is over before it ever started. The former Atlanta Falcon's defensive end claimed off waivers last week by the Bengals has failed his physical. The Bengals released him, and he's now back on waivers again. McKinley, a first round draft pick back in 2017, was released by the Falcon's after McKinley repeatedly complained about the team not trading him at the NFL trade deadline on Twitter. Atlanta interim head coach Raheem Morris reprimanded McKinley to reporters, and the team fined him for his social media outburst before releasing him. McKinley has been hampered by a groin injury that limited his availability this season. It's not clear if that injury led to his failed physical.

Just a very short time today (Wednesday) after the Bengals released Takkarist McKinley for failing their physical, the 49ers claimed him off the waiver list. McKinley is most recently known for causing a bit of a stir in order to be moved on by the Atlanta Falcon's.

The Cincinnati Bengals sound quite a bit healthier going into Week-11 against the Washington Football Team. Bengals Head coach Zac Taylor revealed that both of his starting offensive tackles, Jonah Williams and Bobby Hart returned to practice, as well as cornerbacks Mackensie Alexander and LeShaun Sims. Running back Joe Mixon is still considered day to day.

Joe Burrow carted off early in the 2nd half today with a "significant" injury to his left knee. Announcer said the Bengals looked shell shocked as they promptly lost their lead to the team from Washington, formerly known as the Redskins.

Joe Burrow had already taken a lot of hits on Sunday against the Washington Football Team. And then in the 3rd Quarter, what most Burrow and Bengals fans had been worried about throughout the season up until now happened. This time when Burrow took a hit (again), he was unable to get up this time. All of the reports so far seem to indicate that he tore his ACL and possibly even more. I would venture to say that of all of the starting QB's in the league, he has probably been hit more often than any other QB.

So sad! Even though everybody was predicting it would happen. I was actually watching the Bengals again after not watching a couple lousy years. Now I will be focusing solely on the Browns until next year. A lot players are never the same after a serious injury like this. I hope he is not one of them players. We saw how bad the offense was when he left. Even the defense packed it in. Total team meltdown!

Sad hope he is not limited when he comes back. Goes to show how important a good offensive line is.

Early reports are not very positive as far as the damage to Joe Burrow's knee. His knee may be worse than what was expected as an MRI has revealed extensive damage. Burrow has torn his ACL, MCL and suffered other structural issues in his knee as well. Recovering from a torn ACL can typically take six to nine months, however given all the other issues with Burrow's knee, that timeline may be extended. Ryan Finley, who took over for Burrow in Sunday's game is likely to be the teams QB for the rest of the season.

The Cincinnati Bengals have started the quarterback hunt with Joe Burrow officially on injured reserve. Tuesday the Bengals worked out two QB's, Kevin Hogan and Alex McGough. Hogan is the more recognizable name there. He was a 5th round pick (I think Stanford) in the 2016 NFL Draft, and spent a few years with the Cleveland Browns, appearing in eight games and totaling 4-touchdowns and 7-interceptions. McGough was a 7th round pick in the 2018 NFL Draft by Seattle who bounced around multiple teams before ultimately getting cut by Houston at the end of August. The Bengals need practice squad players now that Ryan Finley moves into the starting role and Brandon Allen is on the active roster as the primary backup.

The Bengals are a dumpster fire. Burrow could demand a trade and the Saints could get him since Cincinnati have zero leverage. If the Bengals do not fire Zac Taylor by the end of the season and hire Eric Bieniemy Burrow is gone.

Mike Brown is a worthless owner

With Bengals first overall pick Joe Burrow out for the rest of the season after suffering a gruesome knee injury this past Sunday, one would probably believe the man that came in for him that day, Ryan Finley, would be the starting QB against the New York Giants this week. ( I guess we are talking about the Bengals though) According to reports, practice squad QB Brandon Allen is being promoted from the practice squad to the active roster, and will get the start over Finley for this upcoming game. The move might have come from Finley's poor performance against the Washington Football Team after replacing Burrow after he got hurt. Finley was 3 for 10 with an interception, as the Bengals couldn't get anything going on offense. Allen only has three games of NFL experience after starting three games last year with the Denver Broncos. He went 1-2 while completing 39 of his 84 passing attempts for 515 yards, three touchdowns and two interceptions.

The Cincinnati Bengals lost a pair of players to the Covid-19/reserve list Wednesday, and lost a practice squad player to the Houston Texans. The Texans signed defensive lineman Andrew Brown off the Bengals practice squad to a contract, meaning he's on the 53-man roster. Brown was a 5th round draft pick by the Bengals in the 2018 NFL draft. Elsewhere, the Bengals placed wideout Auden Tate and offensive lineman B.J. Finney to the Covid-19/reserve list.

The Cincinnati Bengals announced Saturday morning that QB Kevin Hogan has been signed to the practice squad. He will replace QB Brandon Allen who has vaulted from practice squad to the starting QB in only one week. Hogan and Alex McGough both had tryouts with the Bengals Saturday morning, after they both passed through Covid-19 testing protocols. The Bengals also activated wide receiver Auden Tate and offensive lineman B.J. Finney from the Covid-19/reserve list.

Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow will have surgery to repair his injured left knee soon and will do so out on the West Coast. Former Buckeye defensive end Sam Hubbard, a very close friend of Burrow said he was pretty sure that the surgery would take place sometime this week. Coach Zac Taylor also said that he thought it would be toward the middle of the week, but that he doesn't have a timetable on when he would return to Cincinnati.
